KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
l Working as daily main contact of the existing clients to provide advisory services related to trade finance & trade services, including but not limited to:
Pre-Deal (upon deal mandate and pricing agreed):
- Brief operational procedure, transaction application forms, system functions (TF online and E-draft) and supporting documents requirements to new clients (upon mandate) and to existing clients (for new products);
- Familiar with TF related KOPs/handling guides and provide professional suggestions/advices to the existing clients to smooth trade finance/services process;
- Familiar with trade related international rules (e.g. UCP600, URDG758) and local regulations and provide advisory to existing clients upon request.
In-Deal:
- Receipt of original transaction applications from the clients via emails or couriers and handover with Trade Services team via registration form and checklist;
- Address existing clients enquiries via email and/or phone call in relation to daily transactions from E2E process, i.e. guide clients to fill in application form and prepare supporting documents, process monitoring to meet timeline requirements, payment/collection until deal settlement and provide settlement advices via email;
- Provide timely feedbacks to sales manager if any questions from clients but not in TA service scope, e.g. pricing quotation, onsite services and standard document negotiation;
- Facilitate communication between sales manager, clients and Trade Services team to smooth the transaction processing, i.e. help clients to understanding TS document checking results to obtain rectification & explanation, and/or to approach sales manager for DD/KYC or seeking exceptional approval as per related approval matrix and guidelines;
Post-Deal:
- Handle client’s enquiries via email and/or phone call regarding deal details, e.g. maturity date, accrued interests & fees and commissions etc.
- Monitor repayment schedule for finance transactions and remind client in advance for funding preparation.
Frequently used Trade Products including LC (Letter of Credit), Documentary Collection (DP & DA), BG (Bank Guarantee), Commercial Draft (BAD acceptance, BAD/CAD discounting, E-draft acceptance and discounting) and Payable Finance.
l Refer potential business opportunities from new/call-in clients to sales manager.
l Be familiar with the regulatory requirements and the related internal policy/KOP/Guide to ensure compliance. Has good sense of operational/reputational/compliance risks and when encountering may escalate timely for proper handling.
SELECTION CRITERIA
§ University graduate with commercial banking experience. Trade Operation or Client services experience is a plus.
§ Good customer service skills including but not limited to communication skill, negotiation skill, telephone techniques and courtesy skill.
§ Specialized trade finance knowledge and expertise; has good understanding of the Trade Finance business and its operating regulated requirements such as UCP, URC, ISBP etc.
§ Good interpersonal skill and is a team player.
§ Ability to work confidently and independently under pressure and work persistently.
§ Competence in spoken and written English ,Chinese (Mandarin) and Knowledge of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel etc)
