Incumbent Role:


Primarily provide application support and management reporting support to partners and employees on the firm's new SAP Practice Management System and BI platform, as well as a wide range of in-house business applications. To further undertake the business analyst role, he / she will have to work with Service Management Team on user requirement management and change management of system development / implementation / enhancement projects.



Primary Responsibilities (as Application Support Role):


Provide application support to business users – answer application usage enquiry, perform first-level trouble-shooting on user reported issues, and liaise with Development / Implementation Team for problem resolution


Develop expert understanding of internal business applications and related processes through proactive self-learning


Track and report application support calls for knowledge sharing


Assess and channel user feedback to Service Management Team based in front line offices for continuous system improvement


Provide BI reporting and data analysis support to meet management information need


Conduct functional test of application enhancements and new system developments / implementations to ensure application quality meets user requirements and application standards


Prepare test plan and test cases, track test issue logs and liaise with Development / Implementation Team for issue fixing



Secondary Responsibilities (as Business Analyst Role):


Liaise with business users to formulate new system requirements and assess enhancement requests to fulfil ongoing business needs


• Collect and analyze business requirements


• Compile user requirement specification


• Prepare system prototype


• Manage system scope and user expectations


Provide support and coverage to change management to ease stakeholders to understand and adopt new systems and processes


• Coordinate user acceptance test


• Prepare system user guides and communication material


• Arrange and deliver user training


• Liaise with business users for system migration


• Liaise with Development Team and Operation Team for production system setup




Qualification:


Incumbent qualification:


University graduate of information technology discipline; applicant with work experience in business analysis role may be considered for business analyst position


Previous hands-on work experience in application support or development in Microsoft .Net environment a definite plus


Familiar with one or more of the following areas


• SAP ERP application


• SQL Server reporting tool


• MS Office productivity tools


• Practice Management / Client Relationship Management processes in professional service firm


Strong business acumen


Excellent analytical and problem solving skills


Service oriented mind set and team player with good inter-personal skills


Good written and oral communication skills in Chinese/Putonghua and English


Comfortable with communicating with users at all levels


Self-motivated, able to work independently and under pressure
