POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
To be responsible for electrical and instrument engineering and design work for all assigned AP Asia manufacturing executed projects and manufactured equipment and skids, ensure electrical and instrument engineering and design work executed smoothly in timely, cost effective and high quality manner, and support team goal of Asia Manufacturing Engineering & Design team.
Nature and Scope
The job holder is Sr. Electrical and Instrument Engineer and reports to Asia Manufacturing Engineering and Design Manager directly.
The job holder is assigned to perform electrical and instrument detail engineering and design work, supervising relative electrical and instrument fabrication for all Asia Manufacturing executed projects, manufactured equipment and skids, and providing commission support as requested. This position requires relative senior level of engineer who is able to perform the required electrical and instrument engineering and design responsibilities and site fabrication supervision and quality control. The job holder is also expected to provide electrical and instrument design and fabrication material estimation in supporting to estimation as required.
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
1.Manage and perform various aspects of electrical schematic drawing, electrical cabling and wiring, electrical grounding drawing, control schematic drawing, instrument wiring diagram, instrument hook up drawing, cable/cable tray design, equipment and panels layout design, etc.
2.Conduct electrical and instrument detail design work and related fabrication cost estimation for various packaged equipment and skids
3.Conduct electrical panel and instrument trip/analyzer panel design and vendor factory inspection and equipment test
4.Quality control and supervision for all assigned equipment and skid fabrication
5.Maintain and improve product electrical and instrument design for Asia Manufacturing fabricated packaged equipment and skids
6.Maintain and improve assigned product work on electrical and instrument area for all Asia Manufacturing Engineering and Design scope
7.Provide technical support and commission support as requested
8.Be familiar with APCI electrical and instrument/control engineering standard, specification and international industry electrical and instrument/control engineering standard/code and local standard/code
9.Coordinate and communicate technical issues among various groups, including US, Europe, LDI, construction and vendor
10.Support project proposal estimation, project execution, fabrication QA/QC, commissioning and start up. Initiate electrical and instrument design changes as necessary.
11.Any other duties as assigned.
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
1.Job Incumbent is expected to have minimum 5 years work experience in electrical or Instrument/Control design for Gas, Chemical or Petrochemical related industry with China Design Institute or engineering company.
2.Job Incumbent is expected to have Bachelor’s Degree in Instrument/Control Engineering
3.Job Incumbent is expected to be fluent in oral and written English
4.Job Incumbent is expected to work in a team environment
5.Job Incumbent is expected to prepare electrical and instrument related technical documents, drawings, specification and cost estimation, either by in-house design or reviewing contractor’s design deliverables.
6.Job Incumbent is expected to be skillful in drawing, calculation and design with AutoCAD, MicroStation, SP3D and have experience on Intools design.
7.Job Incumbent is expected to be able to travel to site and vendor shop as required.
8.Job Incumbent is expected to well understand China local electrical and Instrument/Control engineering design code and be familiar with international industry standards and codes 举报 分享
