Manager, Product Development(美国医疗行业巨头,新建亚太区研发中心,薪资优厚,有海外培训机会)
Reporting line:
VP R&D China
Summary:
Manages the product development of novel or customized technologies. Responsible for the management, motivation and development of direct reports.
Essential Functions:
Manages the resources of the product development platform so as to maximize the productivity of collaboration with exploratory research, technology development and strategic project groups.
Development of the team including attracting, developing and retaining high performance technical staff.
Coach, motivate and foster professional development of direct reports.
Ensures that core team representatives are highly capable and strong contributors to the core team. Ensures core team members are managing activities within their function and managing project milestones..
Reviews and evaluates development protocols, results and conclusions. Ensures that all development activities are conducted pursuant to appropriate standards for completeness, accuracy and documentation to conform with company and regulatory expectations for safety, efficacy and compatibility with standard clinical practice.
Demonstrates an understanding of functional and customer requirements. Collaborates with peers to develop appropriate testing to verify product meets requirements and sets appropriate specifications to ensure product reliability and manufacturability. Conducts testing of new products and investigates customer complaints on existing products.
Coordinates and manages state of art searches, patent disclosures and product clearances..
Meets or exceeds financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Recommends and implement productivity gains.
Adhere to safety policy procedures.
Job Qualification:
Education:
BS Engineering (Scientific or Technical discipline)
MS, MBA preferred
Experience:
BS with 8 to 10 years experience. Med Device/Pharma experience highly advantageous. Two years managing people and new product development projects preferred.

Accomplished management of project development efforts
Demonstrated leadership skills.
Demonstrated understanding and application of financial planning and analysis.
Understanding in market dynamics in area of expertise including competitive advantage, procedures, new markets and technologies.
Demonstrated ability to interpret a variety of technical information and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Demonstrated ability to successfully lead people and projects and to get results through others; must be familiar with phase gate design control processes
