Key Tasks and Responsibilities
This role is to handle the accounting work of SH office, with details as list below. This role is responsible for the overall correctness and timeliness of SH company statutory financial reports and management reports.
1.The GL Accountant is responsible for daily accounting booking
Expected Results:
Accurate GL accounting booking including:
a)Billing to customers, billing from vendors, employee expense claims, fixed assets, FX valuation, accrual etc.
b)Prepare monthly financial statements and account reconciliation package
c)Meet group reporting timelines and statutory deadlines
2.The GL Accountant is responsible for bank related transactions
Expected Results:
a)Update incoming payments from customers on daily basis, issue AR weekly reports
b)Handle regular payment to vendors and employees
c)Handle payroll related payments
d)Handle FX receipts / payments
3.The GL Accountant is responsible for tax related matters
Expected Results:
a)Processing VAT invoices: issue invoices, verified input VAT, purchase invoices, and apply for VAT upgrade
b)Monthly tax reporting and payment (VAT, stamp duty etc)
c)Quarterly corporate income tax reporting and payment
d)Prepare annual corporate income tax returns
4.The GL accountant is responsible to prepare reporting pack with detailed analysis on key B/S and P/L items, review with Finance managers
Expected Results:
a)Prepare reporting pack with detailed analysis on key B/S and P/L items after each month end closing;
b)Identify the abnormal items, to do further checking, solve the issue on timely basis;
c)Be proactive to take actions on the transactions which may have material accounting impact;
d)Provide advice on improvement of accounting work flow, internal control, business process;
5.The GL Accountant is responsible for annual audit, annual compliance:
Expected Results:
a)Coordinate the PRC statutory audit and IFRS audit
b)Annual compliance on all licenses and certificates
c)Annual financial documents filing
6.The GL Accountant is responsible for ERP improvements and upgrades.
Expected Results:
a)Participate in ERP implementation project, and master the financial modules
b)Identify ERP issues and propose solutions, seeking continuous improvement
7.The GL Accountant will undertake other duties as reasonably directed by the Finance Manager from time to time.
Expected Results:
a)Other duties are performed as requested by the Finance Manager to agreed timeframes and standards

The personal characteristics of the GL accountant are:
Skills
?More than 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in MNC
?Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
?Proficient in Office, especially in Excel
?Experienced in financial module of ERP system
?Excellent communication skills with strong business acumen are essential attributes
?Be organized, detail oriented and have clear mind and great responsibilities
Qualifications/Experience
?Bachelor degree in Accounting or related discipline
?Must be a qualified accountant (会计证)
