BASIC FUNCTIONS
Responsible for complete online management of the assigned products from creation of new products through their removal from the product line and sales channels of Sinks brand in China. Decisions made on products produced, manufacturing capacities, marketing strategies, outside purchases, and the need for engineering consultants will be largely influenced by the data and analysis generated by and recommendations made by the Product Manager.
Coordinate and work closely with the plant to ensure all product issues are well taken care of. Work with all other departments including sales, marketing communication, technical services and accounting. Direct liaison with relevant US headquarters departments is also necessary. Operate as the recognized central authority on all marketing matters related to assigned products. Responsible for development and implementation of enduring objectives related to product line development with management objectives both long-and short-term and develop strategies necessary to achieve objectives over specific time spans. Responsible for channel management of Sinks brand in China.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop long-term marketing plans for assigned product lines and manage sales channels of Sinks. Incorporate sales, advertising, research and promotional efforts required to meet current and projected market objectives.
2. Prepare annual marketing plans for assigned products including market strategy, incentive promotions, sales forecast, projected market penetration, and budget estimates.
3. Develop short-term product marketing programs to obtain business in line with product sales forecasts and profit objectives.
4. Manage product prices (including those of spare parts), terms of sale and discounts recognizing out objectives and our competition.
5. Provide market research with market demand projections to guide the preparation of forecasts. Work with the plants to insure needed product supply.
6. Manage the "Release for Shipment" process of new products.
7. Provide Marketing Communication Manager with information to guide production of product literature and promotional activities.
8. Develop and present sales training programs for company sales representatives and distributor personnel seminars.
9. Develop a personal expertise on assigned product markets including a complete intelligence file on competitors' pricing, field activity, customer service channels of market distribution and end-user preferences. Be familiar with product materials, manufacturing, packaging, transportation and promotions.
10. Develop plans for introducing and discontinuing products in line with marketing groups' long-range market objectives.
11. Coordinate the development of effective packaging, installation instructions, sales displays, trade show displays, and publicity programs.
12. Provide Product Engineering with market preference and trends on products considered for development or redesign.
13. Maintain high level of communications with branch personnel.
14. Relate and recommend changes in established market distribution and strategy as necessitated by market and consumer preferences.
15. Coordinate the interpretation of plumbing codes and distribution of this information to the field sales organization.
16. Seek legal advice from corporate counsel to insure propriety of pricing mechanism, trademarks, product labeling, policies and contractual agreements.
Education and Experience Requirements
The ideal candidate should come from electric appliance industry, either small appliance or kitchen appliance; has rich experience in online business management, well established working experience in working with Tmall & JD and understand the entire working process; had experience in bank/or china mobil mall ie. China merchandising bank, ICBC; solid experience working with TV shopping include ocj & hunan cable TV; with 3C experience (with Suning/Gome/yolo) will be a plus
