BASIC FUNCTIONS
Within delegated responsibility and authority of the Commercial Director- K&B & Sub Sahara Africa, maintain a close relationship with key architectural and design firms and coordinate our sales efforts in the assigned area. Partner with these global firms to introduce KOHLER brand, get it specified, and grow our business in the assigned area.
Develop and implement programme that enhance specifier understanding and buy-in for Kohler product and thereby making Kohler the leading “Specifier recommended and customer recommended” brand in the industry.
Base location: Guangzhou
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
-Establish and maintain regular contact with key global / local operators, architectural - and design firms to introduce the brand and products, assist in selecting products, writing proposals within assigned area.
-Closely co-ordinate with the SSA hospitality account manager and the SSA business development team within the assigned area.
-Be knowledgeable in international design trends and specifications
-Build trust and rapport with international clients in SSA region to create economic partnership
-Displace competitors’ product and make KOHLER brand the primary choice of these global operators, architectural and design firms
-Build personal relationships and build trust with key stakeholders.
-Recommend how to support the clients’ needs while increasing our sales potentials
-Evolve innovative engagement programmes for specifiers in order to build long term relationship with the community.
-Benchmark effectiveness of Kohler specifier engagement programme vis a vis those employed by competition.
RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS
-Direct reports to the Area Sales Supervisor – Kohler Kitchen & Bath Sub-Sahara Africa.
-Frequent contact with hospitality account manager, business development team and various area sales managers
-Work closely with key clients, hotel operators/architects/designers and developers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-Diploma or certificate in Architecture or Interior Design would be preferred
-At least 5- 10 years of relevant post qualification experience in organizations of repute
-Has passion for sales or marketing scopes
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conversant in working cross-culturally
-Self-driven, self-disciplined, and goal-oriented
-Possess good aesthetic and understanding of design trends in interior/architectural, and be able to speak in the language of international caliber designers.
-Willing to travel
