职位描述：
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Conduct detailed appraisal approval activities on behalf of Kohler Decorative Lighting Project Management teams, and make supplier selection recommendations commensurate with business needs. Take ownership for follow-up action required to raise supplier’s capability to required standard.

2. Project management of specific sourcing initiatives in close cooperation with Kohler Decorative Lighting, including generation of supplier specific project plans in line with overall project plan requirements, contribution of personal expertise to facilitate delivery of the plan and follow through on action items to deliver results. Work with the Manager of Supplier Quality in cases where priorities conflict, are not clear, or resource issues arise.

3. On specific projects, work closely with Kohler Decorative Lighting product development teams and suppliers to facilitate the on-time/on-spec/on-cost launch of new products. Such activity would include confirmation of process capability studies, first-article inspection and performance final test, and preparation of PPAP packages or on-going sampling and inspection regimes.
4. Initiate and manage supplier process capability and cost improvement action plans to meet Quality, Delivery, Cost and Program Timing requirements.
5. Drive best practice of Supplier Quality tools and techniques, including lean practices. Eliminate early product failures through better involving supplier process FMEA’s, Print/Process Reviews(PPR), Advanced Product Quality Planning(APQP), Control Plan development, process capability(Cp,Cpk) and gage studies, and other milestone events
6. Ensure appropriate facilities at suppliers to audit both process and final product quality prior to shipment. This to be continued until capability is achieved.
7. Conduct periodic formal on-site audits at suppliers.
8. Act as first line of defense in region in the event of quality, cost or supply chain issues. Move rapidly to contain problem, establish recovery plan and expedite corrective action.

8. Skilled as a teacher and mentor to facilitate the effective transfer of knowledge.
9. Cultural sensitivity between Chinese & American associates and business entities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Engineering degree required. Minimum six years’ experience in technical purchasing projects, and quality assurance follow up, which involved close liaison with new product development. Knowledge of the lighting industry is preferred but not essential. Must possess expert knowledge in negotiating, problem-solving, and statistical techniques. 举报 分享
