PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Manage and execute short lead orders and shipments to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
2) Monitor system load board (from load shipment entry to delivery)
3) Manage all exceptions related to the client’s business that TMC manages
4) Identify and implement operational efficiency gains
5) Make and respond to all changes submitted from the client in a timely and accurate manner (notify carriers &suppliers, reschedule appointments, etc.)
6) Provide prompt and professional response to client's requests for additional information
7) Hit tactical and operational KPI targets
8) Willingness to work on more than one account when there is a business need
9) Work with client/carrier to identify process improvements
10) Track and resolve successes/open issues
11) Work with client and carriers proactively to manage carrier payables
12) Manage all new carrier setups and training of TMC tools
13) Manage all new warehouse setups and training of TMC processes
14) Meet KPI targets set from an operational and tactical level
15) Develop customer savings and business story with Account Manager
16) Manage and execute internal and external reporting
17) Work with carrier/client to manage carrier performance
QUALIFICATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1) College/University degree
2) Knowledge and experience of the logistics and supply chain market
3) Ability to communicate and build effective working relationships with internal peers and colleagues across all divisions and departments
4) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
5) Ability to think creatively and strategically
6) Basic understanding of financial concepts
7) Able to understand and learn different technologies quickly
8) Fluent in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
9) Detail oriented
10) Willingness to work autonomously as well as a member of a team
11) Superior customer-service skills
12) Ability to problem solve and conduct root cause analysis
13) Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasion
14) Willingness to create and adhere to process and plan
15) Visionary in scope of project and ability to think outside the box
16) Ability to travel when required (less than 10%)
17) Native Mandarin speaker preferred. Fluency in Mandarin speaking, reading, and writing required.
18) Fluency in English speaking, reading, and writing required. (CET-6 preferred)
