Context/Scope:
Global Travel (GT) is one of the largest Diageo markets by Trading Profit, and the only one that is truly global, being defined by trading channel and territory. This role offers you the opportunity to work in an international team, experiencing the diversity that is the GT business. Operating in a diverse, dynamic e***ironment, this role functions across a multi-country (c.21+), multi-currency, and multiple time zonal setting.
This role covers the full scope of the China/Taiwan commercial business’s P&L – you will own and deliver the full P&L from top to bottom, working in a cross functional team, you will expand and build on your fi***ce, communication and influencing skills.
This role manages relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders – including Customer, Sales and Marketing teams, Group Fi***ce, Customer Service, Supply, GDBS, internal (GAR) auditors as well as being the analyst/business partner for the relevant commercial teams

Manages a business that operates within a multi-cultural, channel, outlet and multi-currency e***ironment.
Operates in a hybrid travel retail + third party distributor market that requires a deep understanding of the complexities associated with this and working with in varying legislative restrictions.

Purpose of Role
To optimise the fi***cial performance of the region by supporting the decision making of the China/Taiwan business, challenging the business for future performance and seeking out innovative ways to beat the plan and beat the competition.
Acting as an amazing business partner to the commercial teams in scope, leading end to end commercial fi***cial requirements for the said customers and business areas. Ensures that local activities are aligned with global strategies, brings fi***cial understanding to all issues.
Top Accountabilities
This role will work closely with the other Commercial Fi***ce Analysts in GT to deliver a one-team approach and standardised way of working to minimise duplication of effort.
The individual will also be a key Fi***ce business partner to the Commercial Director and key Account Controller stakeholder, and will provide support and coaching on all fi***cially related issues.
Leading world class business partnership with commercial team
? Manages full P&L for commercial team including ongoing management of Risk and Opportunities position, and monthly performance reviews across the entire P&L through to cash delivery.
? Drives Annual Operating Plan process for the commercial team. Monthly performance reporting and fi***cial Latest Estimates for the team.
? Tracking of monthly depletions reporting for customers to ensure adherence to commercial policies.
? Ensures adherence to commercial policies and delivery of the pricing agenda.
? Constructively challenge business decisions, and recommend value-creating courses of action.
? Ensure Fi***cial Processes are in place to effectively manage all levels of spend
Qualifications and Experience Required
? Degree qualified
? Fi***ce qualification (CA, ACMA, ACCA), or 7+ years’ experience in Fi***ce
? Ability to manage projects, prioritize and work to deadlines
? Experience of working in a FMCG or equivalent e***ironment
? Strong problem solving and analytical skills
? Ability to work and engage cross-functionally and remotely – excellent communication skills both written and verbal and great interpersonal skills both over the phone and face to face
? Ability to influence at Senior levels within the organization – especially ability to take tough decisions and challenge senior stakeholder sets
? Have the ability to create and inspire energy for plans and ideas and to cut through a complex e***ironment to make things happen.
? Ability to lead and manage through multi-functional teams on a remote basis - willing to explore or value diverse views and opinions – only engages with like-minded people
? Have an ability to challenge co***entional thinking and to propose innovative commercial solutions.
? Be highly self-motivated, results oriented with strong analytical rigour
? Demonstrates edge willing to take risks.
? High integrity that inspires trust and credibility.
