Responsibilities:
Conduct market research and get familiar with the national or regional health
environment and policies in order to define the strategy of the products for the Chinese
market.
Prioritize the registration and marketing resources for the Cepheid products in China.
Design the new product launch process and the marketing communication process.
Design and implement launch plan and communication program for new products.
Manage Budget and Forecast for all products
Define the marketing plan for achieving the Strategic Plan of China and creating strong
brand awareness of the company and products.
Deliver monthly marketing reports, and quarterly marketing plan updates
Build a strong network with the relevant policy makers and KVLs in China
Train sales force of Cepheid and its distributors on optimal usage of marketing and sales
tools
Work with the sales force and distributors on regular basis in order to ensure the
marketing plan is followed and problems can be answered.
Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with Cepheid global marketing teams,
coordinating activities with all key stakeholders
Should constantly look at new market segments and supplement the marketing plan to
cover the new opportunities.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
? A minimum of 5 years of progressive sales and/or product/marketing management
experience, with at least three years in healthcare.
? Hands on exposure and experience of managing successful product launches, engaging sales
teams to ensure they are well prepared.
? Solid experience in molecular diagnostics, diagnostics or in depth exposure in infectious
diseases, virology, oncology or women’s health will be considered.
? Incumbent must have a proven track record that clearly demonstrates success in sales and
marketing positions with increasing levels of responsibility. Demonstrating a clear
understanding of ROI theories and commercial acumen. A good commercial sense which
supports marketing excellence, turning ideas into successful programs.
? Experience in the disease area and knowledge of real time PCR reagents and instruments is
desired.
? Require a proven track record in the marketing and selling of high medical value solutions.
The ability to understand issues and problems finding practical and workable solutions.
? Experience in health economics, familiar with the demonstration of financial benefits.
? Established contacts with medical committees or interest groups in the field of applications
of the portfolio. A well-developed network of KOL relationships is essential, providing
valuable input and knowledge while building strong connections.
? Preferably and medical qualification, with a number of years’ experience as a physician,
before moving into a commercial environment.
? Proven track record in successfully managing a team, delivering on projects and programs to
a high level.
? Excellent communication skills including verbal and written and presentation skills required,
along with a strong financial and business acumen, flexibility and good judgement.
? High degree of leadership and able to engage with and successfully influence others
including colleagues and customers, ranging from lab technicians to clinical experts.
? Incumbent must possess a high degree of sensitivity and maintain close contact with the
marketplace to determine those areas where new clinical diagnostic products with
improvements are required.
? Because of the technical nature of the products, an understanding of the assigned products
and their relationship to diagnostic and clinical medicine is essential.
? Ability to work well with people, having an affinity to build strong relationships and
networks with managers, peers, subordinates internally and technical experts, government
officials and KOL’s externally.
? Bachelor degree in Science and/or a Master Degree in Business Administration.
? English, and Mandarin would be advantages.
