Electrical Engineer （To Microsoft, Based in Shenzhen）
The APT team within Microsoft Devices envisions, creates and manufactures the award winning PC accessory and Surface accessory. We pride ourselves on a high energy, high impact work environment that empowers everyone to do their very best work. We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the APT development team. You will draw upon your experience in design and validation of embedded hardware and real time firmware/software to deliver elite high volume consumer products. The position involves working closely with industrial designers, FW engineers, mechanical engineers, software engineers, and program managers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Specifying, designing (schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM, cost analysis), implementing and verifying subsystems
- Working with other specialists across disciplines to design, test and debug complex hardware technologies for product development, to meet bold cost and schedule goals
- Learn, analyze and implement new interfaces and subsystems, break down complex issues and collaborate across cross-function teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Manage OnePDM work, create BOM and release ECO
TARGET QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 3+ years’ experience in designing and testing modern consumer electronic hardware at component, device, and system levels with understanding of manufacturing
- Experience in high speed digital and analog circuit designing, testing and solving problems
- Familiar with electrical high speed parallel and serial buses, PCB design and standard communication protocols such as USB, I2C, I2S, SPI, etc
- Hands-on experience in test environments and tools such as ICE, oscilloscope, signal generator, network analyzer
- Experience in hardware prototype bring-up, debug, fault detection, failure analysis
- Strong communication skills and able to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms
