POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Regarding all regulatory issues from the local authorities such as CBRC, PBOC and SAFE pertaining to Shanghai's banking license
2. Advise and assist branch management and department heads of the branch in the developing and implementing appropriate policies, controls and procedures to comply with the regulatory requirements.
3. Conduct checks of the bank's processes and compliance procedures to ensure compliance. Report exceptions and/or violations, if any, to the General Manager.
4. Develop and maintain relations with relevant authorities.
5. In respect of all applicable Group Compliance
6. Advise branch management and department heads of relevant rules and requirements.
7. Monitors adherence to Group and Merchant Banking compliance policies and procedures.
8. Coordinate compliance issues with Merchant Banking Compliance.
9. Act as the Anti-Money Laundering/terrorist financing (AML/CFT) and Suspicious transaction reporting officer for Shanghai branch to ensure compliance with both local and Group requirements and to take charge of all matters connected with AML/CFT generally.
10. Develop and maintain a compliance training program for management and staff. Provide, coordinate or recommend specific training.
11. Serve as a member of the local New Product Committee to advise and ensure that local department managers have appropriate and adequate procedures to comply with both local and Group compliance requirements.
12. Prepare and project lead preparations for new applications and filings with CBRC / SAFE / NDRC etc.
13. Risk Control. Responsibility to handle Operational Risk issues in the Branch, ensure incident reporting, setting and following up and reporting on Key Risk Indicators, co-ordinate ORSA (Operational Risk Self Assessment) and RTSA (Rogue Trading Controls Self Assessment) sessions and follow up on implementations.
14. The work description may change from time to time due to circumstances.

• A minimum of 6 years plus experience in financial industry
• Preference is for strong operational background
• Excellent communicator both in Oral and Written forms;
• Bilingual (English/ Mandarin)
• Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and team player
