Job Outline
To work with Engineering team and space team, responsible for interior and decoration projects and works.
Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor degree or equivalent from Civil, Structure, Architecture, Interior Design, Project Management, Mechanical, HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical;
- Experience on building or interior design project experience;
- Ability to prepare specifications and budget for building work;
- Working knowledge of building contracts;
- Understanding of various procurement methods applicable within the construction industry;
- Production of drawings using Auto CAD;
- Conversant with Microsoft Office;
- Must be able to communicate in English;
- High attention to detail and excellent follow-up and organizational skills;
- At least 3 years working experience in construction project management or Facilities management;
- Delivery of projects within budget, in timescale to the satisfaction of all parties, both internal and external;
- Understanding of relevant Health & Safety Regulations and policies;
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in a clear and concise manner;
- Seeks solutions and explanations;
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment;
- Ability to work under pressure and to act urgently to requests;
- Commitment to customer service;
- Ability to work accurately and pay attention to details;
- Excellent team working abilities.
Desirable
- Master Degree is preferred;
- Experience working in Sino-Foreign University or MNC is preferred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct and oversee the new, alteration and refurbishment works in UNNC campus, feasibility schemes, contract drawings and documentation, specifications description, budget control and so on;
- Provide all documentation (specification, drawing, H&S Plan) relating to all works and schemes to ensure all are current and readily available;
- Monitor and maintain records/reports to meet projects’ technical requirements;
- Manage resources/budgets for projects, preparing budget statements and forecasts and sharing with others decision making that impacts on the level of allocation or efficiency of the resources of Estate Office;
- Manage adherence to Health & Safety Regulations, and compliance with University, departmental and external, standards, policies, procedures and codes of practice;
- Explain and develop an understanding of legal/regulatory/procedural information or other complex issues/solutions to customers;
- Ensure professional and quality service standards are maintained and applied to projects;
- Co-ordinate internal and external consultants to achieve successful outcomes;
- Liaise, communicate, negotiate with client, end user, department staff and public at all levels including the promotion (externally) of University developments;
- Represent the University and Estate Office to other parties (internally and externally) at all required levels;
- Undertake and utilise training and development to enhance working skills and knowledge of self and team, to improve service delivery;
- Fully conversant with and competent to use all systems and equipment in area of work;
- Keep the Estates and others informed about work status of issues that may impact critical University operations or strategy;
- Overtime work at weekend may be required;
- Participate in training and staff development events as trainer or trainee as appropriate;
- Maintain appropriate professional development, expertise and awareness;
- Undertake other tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be required.
