Travel Required: 10% travel both domestic and international
Duties:
Responsible for technical execution of new integrally geared centrifugal compressor contracts. Review customer and industry specifications; specify equipment and major components; coordinate, direct and review the preparation of design documentation; control technical changes provide technical support for fabrication activities; and assist with general project administration. Serve as secondary customer-contact and remain cognizant of contract activities, status, and schedules. Communicate with vendors, field sales, and every department within the organization on a wide variety of technical issues. Assist the Tendering Team in the preparation of Internal Compressor Specification (Order Write-Up) taking care to maintain the necessary discipline to transfer complete definition of the contract’s requirements. Attend design review or “kick-off” meetings with the customer to clarify and confirm requirements and/or present deviations. Review customer documentation and specifications and coordinate with global design groups to ensure that customer requirements for the contract are being met. Specific major contract accessories – i.e., main drive motor or turbine, inlet filter, etc. Review customer submittals to ensure that the technical requirements of the contract are being met. Provide supporting information to the Project Manager to determine any risks and delivery impacts of customer change orders. Gather technical information from Design Groups and prepare, submit, and negotiate deviations from the specifications. Assist with handling to customers during inspections, contract review meetings and performance tests. Prepare contract documentation, including performance test reports and operator manuals. Travel 10% domestically and internationally.

Requirements:
Must have Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering. Must have three years of experience with centrifugal compressor packages. The three years of experience must include experience with compressor operation and performance; compressor components including gearbox, lubrication system, intercoolers, controls and accessories; ERP/MRP systems; reading and interpreting customer and industry specifications and converting them into specific design requirements; application of US and International pressure vessel and piping design codes including ASME, PED, GOS, CRN, and DOSH; application of US and international electrical codes including NEC, IEC, ATEX, CE, and CEC.
