Position Description
I.Summary
This Asia regional strategic sourcing manager position has primary responsibilities for providing broad commercial, financial, and technical leadership for the sourcing activities involving many and varied corporate/indirect categories.
This position supports the Asia region businesses by leveraging industry best practices and supplier capabilities to enhance services levels, manage risk and reduce total costs to the organization. The Sourcing Manager identifies and implements savings opportunities through procurement category management, strategic sourcing activities and effective supplier relationship management best practices.
The position requires the Sourcing Manager to be a subject matter expert of the assigned categories and have detailed knowledge of the appropriate supply markets, including China, Taiwan, Korea and South East Asia countries, perform market analysis, lead strategy development and sourcing events, and work collaboratively with teams of internal clients. Activities may also include make vs. buy analysis, development of total cost of ownership models and significant amount of supplier interaction, negotiation and collaboration.
The Sourcing Manager is expected to have strong leadership and analytical skills and work well in team settings and able to communicate effectively with Senior Management.
The Sourcing Manager will be a member of Asia Corporate Sourcing team and reports to Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager, Real Estate & Corporate Sourcing, Asia.
II.Dimensions
Total Spend Managed (USD): $ 10 - 20 Million
This individual will focus on selected corporate/indirect sourcing categories such as Corporate materials and services, Human Resource services, Travel Services and IT Equipment & Services.

?Staffing/Recruiting Services

III.Principal Accountabilities
?Develop a detailed understanding of assigned categories and serve as the source of category supply insight, content and process knowledge to support category related business requirements.
?Assess and understand Asia region supply markets and identify / qualify leading suppliers.
?Partner with sub-region Procurement team to develop and implement procurement and strategic sourcing policies and procedures for each region locations deployment.
?Lead cross-functional teams through competitive sourcing processes including development of RFx documents and contract negotiations.
?Develop negotiation strategies that improve supplier service levels and generate cost savings.
?Leverage industry best practices and innovative supplier capabilities to optimize business processes and supplier service levels while reducing total costs.
?Manage day to day performance issues of suppliers to ensure best service to internal customers with respect to on time and complete deliveries and compliance with contracted service level agreements.
?Work to identify and establish long-term strategic relationships with critical suppliers.
?Analyze data and publish reports for performance updates, issues and metrics.
?Develop an in-depth working knowledge of SAP, Spend Analytics and E-Sourcing/Bidding Tools
?Collaborate and communicate with internal clients and stakeholders
?Supervise and coach Corporate Sourcing team members.
?Other duties as may be assigned
IV.QUALIFICATIONS:
?Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business Management preferred.
?At least 5 years of relevant experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
?Experience in Travel, HR services and/or IT equipment/services categories preferred.
?Skilled with E-Procurement systems including Ariba spend analytics and E-Bidding/RFx.
?Demonstrated experience in negotiations, supplier contracts, and cost reduction initiatives.
?Highly motivated and ability to work independently or as part of the team.
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
?Fluent in English and Chinese.
?Ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels of the business
?Ability to drive complex projects to completion within a short period of time
?Strong leadership, analytical, quantitative and problem solving skills
