Position Description
This role is primarily focus on Tridium AP education program business development and execution, and responsible for cooperation with universities to setup the training kits/ laboratory, facilitating the teachers to develop IOT course with Niagara technical knowledge, organizing some education summit to promoting the Tridium brand. This role is directly measured by education business revenue, numbers of students, number of courses and completion rate of planned universities etc. This role report to Tridium AP marketing and education manager.
The primary responsibilities are:
Market research to find the business opportunity in universities
Develop Tridium China/ AP education business
Establish and maintain the relationship with university professor or administrator
Setup and maintain education business community and new media channel
Education summit/forum and other event support
Coordinate and leverage the internal resource to develop education business
Essential Job Functions
Develop Tridium China/ AP education business
Make education business development plan
Prioritize the universities depending the regions, reputation, correlation etc.
Visit university to do business research and develop the education business
Design the training kits and training courses according to different customer needs
Facilitate the resource to train the teachers to be the trainers
Customer needs and feedback collection
Follow and execute the actual action
Education business channel development and management
Develop the channel model of education
Qualify and manage the partners
Education business community and new media channel
Setup and maintain education program community in Tridium China website
Think out of the box to setup new media channel for education program promotion
Education summit/forum and other event support
Organize education summit/forum to promote the Tridium education program and Niagara framework
Support Niagara forum in China/ AP, Marcom event and exhibitions
Attend and cooperate with other company’s education summit ( e.g. Intel university program)
Attend some relative IOT association
Interface with Training Department and internal Professional Service team
Take full advantage of global training resource to education business
Leverage and cooperate with Tridium AP Professional service team as internal resources to support on education business development
Support Tridium AP training program and activities, such as new product launch and Tridium Talk etc.
Interface with regional sales team
Involve regional sales team to follow and implement the actual commercial projects like smart laboratory/ campus
Education, Experience & Skills
Bachelor's degree or above with strong technical background in field like computer or software, Automation Control etc.
Experiences in Business Development, Training or Technical Support etc. It is preferred who has university program experience in prior job.
Experiences in Building Automation, IoT, Automation Controls in Commercial or Industrial market etc.
Be able to understand software architecture, features deeply and be able to explain them in both technical and general terms
Good communication skills and coordination skills
Strong Leadership, Self-managed, good team work, proactive and strong execution
Customer driven and service attitude
Passion for Niagara technology as a plus; IT and Software background is a plus
