Job Purpose
Manages complete product life cycle and product strategy for assigned product portfolio & business globally. This includes driving the product roadmap, new product development, coordinating VOC and executing product line strategies with a cross functional team. Acts as the subject matter expert for assigned product line. Supports sales and other departments as needed. Is the point of reference of the APAC sales team for new product development and coordination, in charge of collecting market and competition information as well as sharing new projects and developments with the sales team.

Essential Job Functions
1. Global responsibility for revenue and margin expansion of defined products
2. Builds annual breakthrough objectives and manages activities accordingly
3. Defines the product strategy and roadmap. Creates annual and long-term plans for product portfolio within the business and applies analysis and insights to develop product strategies for segmentation, targeting, and positing of products in assigned portfolio.
? Outline target markets for existing products
? Define value proposition for all products
? Determine focus markets for new products
? Conduct VOC to identify unmet needs
? Build a business case for required product investment
? Follow-up with the sales team on all key SFDC entries
? Prioritize incoming opportunities
? Communicate product roadmap to Platform leadership
4. Identifies and develops new market opportunities for new and existing products in assigned portfolio with the appropriate business partners.
5. Responsible for the management of the entire product life cycle (cradle to grave) of assigned product line/skus.
6. Determines positioning of assigned products and services considering price, volume, factory capacity, share and profitability. Ensures that assigned product families are responsive to market needs to maintain and/or improve market penetration and share position.
7. Drive new product development pipeline - researches and recommends new products and services or market opportunities consistent with business capabilities and objectives. Conducts voice of the customer (VOC) activities to develop new product specifications that solve customer problems.
8. Leads the development of new products. Manages the commercial aspects of the 3D process, leading cross-functional teams in the execution product development initiatives.
9. Develops product launch plans and collaborates with Sales and key functions for development of New Product Commercialization plans.
10. Utilizes business intelligence tools to track product sales performance.
11. Supports RFQs and product concept proposals for new business.
12. Manages profitability through pricing and cost management actions. Conducts cost and margin analysis and determines product pricing and profitability. Recommends list pricing.
13. Directs the modification or changes to existing product designs and packaging. Conducts product rationalization analysis and activities.
14. Monitors and assesses competitive products and programs and as a result develops and implements proactive strategies to strengthen competitive edge.
15. Supports sales and operations planning through existing business processes and on a project-by-project basis.
16. Supports the effective resolution of key customer quality issues by working with the necessary functional owners (i.e. supply, operations)
17. Manages integrity of data both internal and external for the product line, including Installation/Operation Guides, Performance Data Sheets, Labels, etc
18. Provides collateral support for product literature, launch kits, competitive alerts, sales communications and product training.
19. Helps key customers and sales team in APAC to apply current standard products / solution to the right customer application.
20. Analyzes and clarifies expected performance / specifications to determine proper product platform and accessories required.
21. Transfers product concepts based upon Marketing research, and work with R&D engineering team to provide technical solutions to customers or kick off the New Product Introduction process.
22. Meets with key APAC customers as needed to convert customer concepts/designs into effective and efficient product solutions.
23. Support sales / user new inquiries that arise and related to new product innovation and engineering technique during day-to-day operation.
24. Trains and communicates with sales team and key customers on systems application and new product innovation ideas / initiatives.
25. Trains and guides less experienced employees of Food Service Platform.
26. Supports product analysis, related market planning and executions/improvements.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) required, preferred major in Engineering, Marketing, or related business or technical discipline. MBA or Master's degree in Marketing highly preferred.
Experience:
? 5-8 Years of product management experience
? Technical aptitude/experience.
? Experience in project management.
? Experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing environment
? Specific Skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
? Ability to manage multiple priorities and shift priorities as needed to best support the business
