PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Software Development Engineer for REM will be responsible for development and delivery of the next generation Remote Energy Management platform in Schneider China.

OBJECTIVES / KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
l Participate in software architecture definition of the cloud-based REM platform.
l Responsible for requirement analysis, software design, implementation, unit test and integration test, with large-scale distributed enterprise application, cloud computing and Web application technologies.
l Work with UI designers, other software development engineers, and test engineers to deliver software releases on time with good quality.
l Support System Administration team to deploy new systems and resolve operation issues.
l Lead and mentor junior members.

PROFILE REQUIREMENT
l Know how : (education, etc)
a. Bachelor or above degree.
b. Strong facilitation skills, and creative problem solver.
c. Teamwork spirit, excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
d. Organized and strategic thinker and passion of innovation.
e. Enthusiastic, hard working and highly productive.
f. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving ability.
g. Demonstrated ability as a quick learner and team player with good communication skills and strong leadership.
h. Well presented and customer focused.
l Experience required :
a. 4+ years of full life-cycle software development project experience.
b. 2+ years of project experience in building complicated web UI applications, with HTML, Javascript, CSS, etc.
c. 2+ years of project experience with popular web UI frameworks, e.g. ExtJS, YUI, jQuery, Mootools, etc.
d. Understanding and experience with OO design and MVC pattern.
e. Understanding and experience with performance optimization of Javascript applications.
f. Understanding and experience with web graphics specifications, e.g. VML, SVG, etc.
g. Understanding of compatibility design and implementation among major web browsers, including IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.
h. Understanding and experience with Mobile Web application or framework is a strong plus.
i. Understanding and experience with HTML 5 is a strong plus.
j. Understanding and experience with SEO is a plus.
l Languages :
a. Good English skills, both in oral and written.
