Job Description & Responsibilities
A new role has been made available on the resource management capacity within the Asian Actuarial practice. The role will be focusing on assisting the Actuarial Operations Partner / Asia Actuarial Leader to manage the staff resourcing matter on daily basis in order to maximise the staffing utilisation as well as uplifting the work efficiency throughout the process within Asian Actuarial practice that covers China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
This role would be based in China, and Beijing would be preferred.
The major responsibilities include:
Assisting operations partner / Asia Actuarial leader on setting the staffing budget each year based on the strategy of Actuarial development
· Understanding the business requirements, coordinating with partners and managers to execute the staffing management plan in order to maximise utilisation across different region within the Asian Actuarial capacity;
· Driving the daily personnel, staffing and administrative operation matters
· Preparing of monthly statistics on HC movement
· Acknowledging the department’s annual target and through efficient staffing strategy to ensure this annual target could be met;
· Liaising and coordinating with operation managers of other divisions on staffing matters as well as overseeing the administrator's duties to ensure that they are operating effectively and receiving the necessary support;
· Taking the lead role to derive and review of staffing utilisation analytic reports and reporting to the Operations partner / Asia Actuarial leader on a regular basis;
· Assisting in the annual staff performance review / promotion process;
Reporting Structure & Key Relationships
Reports to the Actuarial Operations Partner / Asia Actuarial Leader
Key relationships: Partners and managers in Asia Actuarial, Operations team across territories, Shared Delivery Centre, Other internal functions teams (e.g. Finance, GTS etc.)
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree or above
· Minimum 5 years of working experience with management role, either within a professional services firm or multinational corporation
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential with outstanding people management skills preferred
· Be able to manage stress in a busy work environment
· Proven ability to work in a collaborative manner with cross-functional teams
· Proven experience in staffing management related domains, preferably at a national level
· Demonstrate ability to manage various priorities with agility and flexibility
· Demonstrate ability to work independently and proactively to lead and drive actions and deliverables
· Demonstrate professionalism with high level of discretion and integrity at all levels of the role
· Demonstrate extensive ability with attention to details, consolidate and analyse data to produce insights
· Demonstrate solid experience in mastering PowerPoint, Word and Excel to enable communication and analysis
· Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese and English is essential
