DESCRIPTION OF TEAM & SUMMARY OF JOB:
The Customer Support team provides product support, application support and field services on NovAtel Hardware and Software, and on related GNSS & INS topics to NovAtel’s worldwide customer base. We work closely with engineering to ensure escalated issues are resolved in a timely manner while continuing to be the customer liaison and maintaining the customer interface.
The team also provides numerous other services internally and externally to Customers, Sales, Product Management, Project Management and Marketing, to help ensure the cohesive and comprehensive delivery of products and materials.
This Application Engineer position is based in Shanghai, China with training provided in Calgary, Canada.
Salary Range：180-250 thousand /Year
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide front line product and application support on NovAtel Hardware, Software, and related
? GNSS & INS topics to internal and external customers.
? Provide customer training, demonstrations, technical assistance, and technical sales support.
? Liaise with other departments regarding technical matters.
? Formulate and implement procedures and plans for resolving problems
? Perform software testing, verification, bug reports, and field trial coordination.
? Generate application notes for frequently asked questions and knowledge base.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must-Have:
? Geomatics or Electrical Engineering degree
? 2+ years of related GNSS industry experience
? Excellent verbal and written skills in both English and Mandarin
? Ability and willingness to travel, worldwide
? Self-motivated team player with proven problem solving skills.
? Outgoing and energetic with exceptional people skills.
Nice-to-Have:
? Experience in working directly with customers, preferably in the delivery of support or services.
? Background includes experience in GNSS or INS systems installation and/or troubleshooting
