Job Position: AP SIP (Sales Incentive Pay) Analyst
Reported to: AP SIP Manager
Organization: AP Sales Operations
Location: Shanghai
The SIP (Sales Incentive Pay) Analyst is responsible to administer and manage sales compensation activities of all AP countries. The core responsibility is to extract and analyze sales performance data in order to calculate the incentive payout as per respective incentive pay plan of AP sales employees. The additional key responsibilities include assisting in the development of incentive pay plans; supporting sales compensation modeling, routine reporting, deployment of system tools and processes to improve and automate the current sales compensation activities, and executing any ad-hoc reporting to support sales management.
Responsibilities:
? Compute the monthly performance attainment and incentive payment of all AP sales employees.
? Review monthly incentive payout file for accuracy, provide management with detail explanations for payout above the predetermined threshold, and obtain management approval before sending the sales incentive payout file to the HR Payroll department.
? Review sales employees’ billing performance to goals and provide monthly sales attainment reports to country, sub-regional and regional management.
? Effectively partner with internal cross-functional areas that support sales compensation planning and execution including Human Resources, Finance and Sales to understand and support their business objectives by providing detail performance analysis and reports.
? Implement and administer sales incentive pay policies, programs and tools, recommend solutions or alternative actions to resolve sales compensation-related problems. Participate in the revision of sales compensation processes as needed to optimize results.
? Resolve sales compensation related issues raised by sales employees. Educate sales employees on plan changes and/or updates, sales compensation policies, programs and reporting tools. Provide timely and accurate responses to questions from sales employees and sales management.
? Work with the finance department to assist with monitoring cost to ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines, sales commission forecasting with includes informing finance department of any exception, special payout, and achievement of large bonus payment according to the Sales Incentive Plan
? Participate in the alignment of sales compensation programs with business needs and the development of creative solutions for business retention and recruitment issues.
? Under the supervision of AP SIP Manager, deploy an automated application to support the end-to-end sales compensation processes.
? Lead and/or participate in various compensation projects and process improvement activities as needed.
Required Skills/Experience:
? Bachelor degree in Business Administration, HR, Finance, Accounting or related field of study
? 3 to 5 years of sales/business operation experience in an analyst or similar analytical role is required. Sales compensation analysis experience is preferred. A thorough understanding of sales incentive pay, financial reporting, forecasting and compensation modeling is preferred.
? Proven ability to be analytical and evaluate data effectively in both system tools and MS Excel/Access.
? Must have experience in effectively working with cross-functional partners to conduct in-depth analysis, understand cause and effect, and recommend process improvements.
? Must be able to prioritize, manage, and meet deadlines.
? High attention to details/data and accountability.
? Ability to juggle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
? Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate in clear and concise manner.
? Demonstrated ability to consult and interface and apply influencing skills.
? Ability to constructively challenge the status-quo to achieve better results.
? Proficient in MS Excel (specific proficiency with V-lookup, pivot tables, macros, and advanced formatting).
? Proficient in SAP is preferred.
? Proficient in both spoken and written English.
? Proficient in spoken Mandarin is preferred.
? Some off-hour meetings may be required.
