职位描述

Main purpose of the Job
As a key member of the Eastworks Innovation Center, the Open Innovation Development Manager is responsible for developing and managing relationships with advanced technology partners, and analyzing new technology business opportunities. They would generate initial partnership recommendation through the use of business assessment models, and would be involved in licensing initiatives and programs.

Main Duties/Activities

?Develop relationships with both mature and start-up technology companies
?Scout for new technologies that fit the strategic goals of the innovation team
?Apply basic screening methodolgy to filter and select technology opportunities
?Develop relationships with automaker (OEM) advanced technology teams
?Identify new business development opportunities though market research/assessment, business analysis, and project leadership for new market initiatives
?Conduct market research, assessment, and competitor analysis
?Provide leadership for internal market intelligence processes and technology scouting
?Development framework for win-win partner relationships
?Initiate proposals, negotiate contracts, and provide recommendations to the senior manegement team
?Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude and autonomy is expected

Specific Responsibilities

?Meet with university research labs, startup companies, existing suppliers, venture capital community, etc. to uncover new technologies relevant to corporate strategy and innovation center project activity
?Ongoing collaboration and support of Eastworks innovation projects
?Quarterly review of activity with senior leadership team
?Establish relationships with OEM customer advanced product planning organizations
?Establish relationships and strategies with key suppliers - leveraging their intellectual property
?Develop preliminary joint-development agreements (JDA), and memorandums of understanding (MOU)

Position Qualifications

?Bachelors degree in business, economics, marketing or a technical field
?MBA degree preferred
?7+ years of experience in product marketing, new product development, business development, or partnership development, preferably in automotive industry or a tier one automotive supplier.
?Experience with commercial strategies, contract development, and intellectual property rights.
?Knowledge of market research methodologies and competitor analysis
?Able to develop 1-5 year market strategies and business plans
?Demonstrated customer relationship skills
?Very high level presentation and communication skills
?Exceptional Mandarin and English language fluency (speaking, reading, and writing)
