JOB DETAILS
? Responsible for Design, Implementation, Test and Start-up of Power and Energy Management Solutions using FactorTalk EnergyMetrix & report designing on FactorTalk VantagePoint.
Job Purpose
? Deliver & execute the assigned project / work package on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
? Ensure technical deliverables matches project / work package requirements. Save engineering cost for GEC team through application & technical expertise.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
? Bachelors in Engineering – Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Information Technology discipline or equivalent knowledge
? Typically three or more years’ experience in systems engineering related to information, automation and/or business systems
? Languages: Visual Basic, VB. Net,
? Reporting Tool – Xcelsius (Dashboard), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), MS Excel
? Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003/2008/ 2008 R2/ 2012
? Experience in Rockwell software - FactoryTalk EnergyMetrix, , FactoryTalk VantagePoint, , FactoryTalk TransactionManager (FTTM), FactoryTalk Historian ,RSLogix 5000/ 500, FactoryTalk View
? 2 Years plus exposure to PLC/SCADA and DCS applications
? Experience in 3rd Party Communication i.e. Siemens, Schneider, PowerMonitors (PM5000, PM500, PM1000 etc.)
? Experience in different Communication Protocol i.e. Ethernet, Modbus TCP/IP, Modbus RTU etc.
? Experience with Database software Microsoft SQL Server MS Access and integration between enterprise applications and plant floor applications.
? Strong programming skills and thorough understanding of Energy Management and Information Systems such as Microsoft SQL Server (incl. Reporting Services), VMWare Solutions and Visual Basic Programming
? Experience in FactoryTalk VantagePoint for designing reports - Excel, Dashboards, SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
? Strong knowledge of MS Excel tool (complex formulae, calculation functions etc.)
? Experience conducting system field start-up activities
? Experience in on-site commissioning and start up
? Application knowledge to drive engineering standardization efforts for system software and/or hardware solutions
? Working knowledge of IT and networking
? Experience of Process Plant in particular utilities, such as Boilers, Compressors, Co-generation plants
? Experience Electrical Distribution (LV & MV advantageous)
? Experience in Report writing and presentations of project deliverables
? Experience with direct customer contact on a technical and operational management basis is required
Key Responsibilities
Do
? Design, define and implement complex system requirements for customers and/or prepare study and analyze existing systems. Determine system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
? Ensuring compliance of design to current local, national and international standards
? Reviewing client specifications and ensuring compliance of design to same
? Ensuring compliance of project activities to our procedures and processes and client SOP, and standards
? Execution of Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT)
? Assist in the generation of and execute/provide support of protocols for commissioning and start up
? Coordination with/managing of other design disciplines (EC&I, Mechanical, Automation, Validation, etc.)
? Participation in and/or leading project meetings
? Building good relationships with Customers within the Project Development scope of responsibility
? Provide learning and mentoring to others
? Strong communications skills, both in writing and speaking
? Ability to travel is required

? Adhere to the RA Quality Management System (QMS)
? Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system.
? Identify, analyze and resolve program support deficiencies. Develop and recommend corrective actions.
