1.0 Purpose
Procurement Specialist is part of the Materials Supply Chain that supports the Intel Demo Depot Build Center and Loan Center
2.0 Scope
The Specialist role supports Demo Depot with purchasing and orchestrating established vendor agreements and services. Primary functions include responding to MRP, ensuring delivery and cost commitments are established and met. Additional duties include providing best quote option based on multiple choices, part name creation, recommending minimum order positions, ensuring delivery schedules, invoice reconciliation, and supplier support meets our needs. Candidates must have effective communication w/customers including PMs, Planners, Suppliers and AP.
3.0 Responsibilities.
Procuring material using established methods for multiple products and suppliers.
Program management in vendor relations, on time material deliveries and stake holder support.
Working knowledge of vendor management techniques.
Inventory management and analysis skills to ensure shortfalls are met and excess is minimal.
Cost management and analysis
Cost updates and invoice reconciliations.
4.0 Qualifications
? College degree required
? Fluent English
? 1-2 yrs purchasing and or program management experience, leveraging others to meet commits.
? Experience in purchasing computer hardware components and systems beneficial.
? Ideal candidate has success in 2 or more of the following areas: in program management, facilitating MRP, inventory management, accounts payable activities.
? Microsoft Outlook and Office experience is required.
? Proven track record in managing all aspects of the material supply chain for multiple products
? Ability to work in a cross functional environment where cooperation is needed from teams you have no direct authority with and must be able to work with minimal supervision
? Excellent organization skills
? Detail oriented
? Strong verbal/writtencommunication skill, analytical and problem solving skills
