POSITION SUMMARY
Purpose
To strengthen our sales coverage in the China Epoxy Additives and conduct direct selling at key accounts as identified by the business. Manage the "channel to markets" in the defined territory to increase our share through organic growth and new product development.
Nature and Scope
The candidate is an integral part of the Epoxy Additive sales team of PMD, Greater China organization and reports to General Sales Manager, Epoxy-Asia. The incumbent will be the key sales professional to interface with customers to conduct direct selling effort to meet the financial target as set by the business.
The incumbent will take guidance from the General Sales Manager, Epoxy-Asia on the sales and business priorities and will be working very closely with other sales members of the team and the respective Regional Marketing Managers.
One critical prerequisite of value selling is to provide technical solution to customers (direct and distributor's accounts). The incumbent is expected to provide first level of technical support, product introduction and also orchestrate interfaces with internal functional at all levels to solve customer problems.
Channel management is also an important part of the job responsibility. The incumbent will be accountable to manage the respective distributors in the defined territory. The incumbent will also work closely with the General Sales Manager, Epoxy-Asia to identify, develop and manage the channel to market. Local market penetration would be one of the key objectives.
Providing market intelligence to the Business is critical; the incumbent will be required to provide timely and regular feedback and input to the team regarding competition, industry dynamic and also key customer activities.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Develop key account plans within the assigned territory
2. Develop and implement sales plan jointly with the Sales Manager to achieve the target as agreed with the business line.
3. Implement the Operating Plan for Epoxy Additive businesses within the territory.
4. Management of direct key accounts, agent and distributors.
5. Submit sales forecast and sales plan to support the business line strategy.
6. Submit timely contact reports. Communicate market/competition information and regular account updates.
7. Delivery of the sales budget.
8. Building customers relationships.
9. Provide first level of sales and technical support to distributor
10. Identify the resources (technology, supply chain, marketing etc) required to support the sales within his region.
11. Support product promotional activities i.e. trade shows/exhibitions, advertisements etc.
12. Perform other relevant responsibilities assigned as new opportunities arise.
13. Local Market Penetration within the assigned markets
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Degree holder preferably in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering
2. > 5 years of sales experience in Epoxy or coating industry preferably with Multinational company
3. Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
4. Fluency in spoken and written English
5. Mature, creative, self-motivated and persistent in meeting business objectives/targets
6. Self starter, able to work independently with minimum supervision
7. Leadership and potential to lead the China Epoxy team
