职位描述
The CPC Trade Lane Manager acts as local procurement and capacity manager, who steers volumes to the right carrier and ensures competitive rate levels. He/She provides access to ocean freight capacity of carriers in line with the corporate carrier policy at lowest possible cost to enable cost optimal production and profitably .
The primary purposes of this role are:
? To plan and manage local demand and supply
? To ensure targeted growth is achieved by coordinating the BD and procurement elements in a focused manner based on segment and geography
? Drive and align Greater China trade lane strategy in cooperation with BD
? Monitor NR development and define corrective actions with sub-regional P&L owner(s) to reach agreed sales/NR targets and carrier commitments
? To optimize the CEVA China's Cost of Sales for Ocean Freight.
? To negotiate and contract carriers in line with corporate ocean product and carrier strategy
? To ensure effective supplier relationship and regular performance management of carriers
? To act as contact vis-à-vis CEVA's corporate product managements and carriers within the geographic region
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Trade lane
? Supports corporate product strategy
? Execute the implementation of trade Lane actions regarding procurement and allocation management
? Create special competitive research and market studies on products and service for trade lane; provide input to local and overseas organization (BD and product).
Capacity Planning and Allocation Management
? Preparation of the allocation plans based on the aggregation capacity forecasts.
? Develop the Allocation Plan for the trade lane / station based on the corporate Carrier Allocation Tool (CAT) .
? Ensure the balancing of capacity demand and supply and provision of high-quality capacity plans for the stations
? Analyze trade lanes and capacities based on cargo flows, carrier shares, net-achieved costs on respective trade lanes and align capacity planning with corporate ocean freight.
? Track execution against plan with respect to volume and margin development and initiate and track corrective actions as required
Trade lane Selling Prices
? Ensure up-to-date and confirmed rates in the central rate repository (CATAPULT)
? Provide Tender Management with full visibility of net rates, to allow efficient first round bidding; support Tender Management in case of rate-related questions
Carrier Selection and Contracting
? Prepare and conduct tenders and develop selection criteria
? Negotiate and ensure best possible ocean rates including charges closely linked to the ocean transport, capacity and service agreements and related incentives
? Ensure that capacity agreements are maintained in the respective systems
Trade lane Procurement
? Perform pricing analysis and resolve branch concerns (e.g. capacity management / better pricing / selection of core carriers)
? Provide sell rate recommendation to BD
? Develop and maintain strong relationships with core and preferred carriers
