Objectives of the Role
1. Successfully launch the brand in China
2. Manage brand P&L, i.e. grow sales and profit across multiple channels
3. Develop and execute brand marketing plans, working with the marketing team
4. Identify and track relevant market intelligence, including competitor analysis etc.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Developing and executing branding, marketing and sales strategy and plans to drive brand growth, based on consumer and channel partner insights
2. Working closely with sales team and channel partners to plan and execute sales expansion and drive commercial results
3. Implementing marketing plans by working with marketing team and external suppliers to deliver on time and on budget
4. Setting and managing product pricing across different channels
5. Determining the allocation of different products or product lines to different channels
6. Coordinating development of communication materials such as catalogues, websites, brochures, packaging and in-store displays
7. Monitoring and analyzing business performance against goals and competitors; coordinating regular meetings and preparing regular reports outlining the brands’ performance
Requirements:
1. Minimum of six years of product, brand management or marketing experience, with strong exposure to or experience in sales or channel development
2. Industry background in premium consumer goods, e.g. beauty products, sports equipment, consumer electronics etc
3. Good sense of key industry trends and developments, in terms of products, channels and marketing levers and platforms
4. Experience in new brand launch is a plus
5. Clear communications in written and oral English and Chinese; ability to explain bigger picture items and 'technical' details to the senior leadership team to get their buy-in
6. Mature, well-balanced personality, ability to listen to and accept others' point of view
7. Mixture of analytical, data-driven decision making and creativity
8. Interest and passion in beauty and cosmetics
