VISION
Enable business growth and advance GMI reputation in China through proactive leadership in the areas of nutrition science, health and wellness communication, regulatory influence, and issues management.
THE ROLE
The Nutrition Leader in China will proactively manage evolving Regulatory, Health, and Nutrition area by developing, communicating, and implementing strategies which protect and enhance the position of General Mills.
The role requires the ability to influence key external stakeholders and regulators while aligning with GMI corporate and international division priorities and positions.
The position will report directly to the Director of Global Regulatory Affairs and International Nutrition with significant partnership with China business and ITQ teams.
Key responsibilities
? Translate health and nutrition science into brand relevant opportunities that advance the business and provide competitive advantage.
o Educate internal stakeholders on external environment and changing dynamics within the global nutrition environment.
o Lead development of Region Health and Nutrition strategies.
o Drive incorporation of relevant nutrition and health opportunities in region innovation, renovation, and communication pipelines.
? Actively represent the position of General Mills within relevant Government, Trade and Consumer Groups.
? Translate and communicate globally aligned region positions and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders on key policy and regulatory topics.
? Advance global position development through proactive sharing of region perspectives and external landscape.
? Advance and grow General Mills health and wellness leadership with multiple health influencers.
? Facilitate region specific pledge needs and supporting criteria to ensure global alignment and positioning. In addition, proactively provide region perspective during corporate pledge development.
? Lead region nutrition tracking and reporting efforts.

Candidate Profile
? 5+ years of experience and proven track record in Regulatory for significant business operation (food or other consumer goods business preferred)
? Experience and understanding of political and regulatory issues within China and globally
? Superior communications skills and strong ability to build relationships
? Strong leadership skills and ability to lead change
? Master’s degree required with PhD strongly preferred
