purpose of the role

to execute predictive maintenance work order and analyze equipments health condition by inspection and condition monitoring techniques to ensure equipments integrity and reliability.

following up local regulation and the group code on equipment monitor and inspection to ensure compliance with regulation and integrity requirement.

key accountabilities

work with relevant persons to develop and execute an optimal predictive/preventive maintenance strategy(including condition monitor ,inspection and diagnosis) to ensure structure and equipments' integrity, safety and reliability.

to execute equipment condition monitoring, inspection and diagnosis etc work according to predictive /preventive maintenance strategy

to maintain and analyze inspection record and equipment health data timely to evaluate equipment health condition, integrity and regulation compliance by drafting the report. identify gaps and propose actions for relevant discipline to maintain compliance, sustain equipment performance for safe and efficient operation.

to lead in assigned area and work with maintenance, operation and other discipline to perform root cause failure analysis for equipment failure, propose reliability improvement solutions in assigned area

to participate inspection and predictive maintenance strategy development. to implement and feed back during routine work to optimize inspection and predictive maintenance plan, inspection methods etc for effective reliability assurance with optimal cost.

to ensure special equipment inspection compliance with the global and local regulation. to maintain inspection tools and condition monitor system in good condition .

coordination and communication

to negotiate with regulatory agent to fix regulatory inspection work scope and develop detailed work schedule. to coordinate and support regulatory agent to perform work safely at our site. follow through till completion of revalidated register certificate for equipments as regulatory code. to coordinate and supervise third party contractors for inspection and special services to work safely at site and meet our work quality/quantity requirement

to provide technical advice/training in his/her own area on predictive and preventive inspection methodology/techniques to other functions for decision making. To network with the internal or external to share and promote best practice of inspection and predictive maintenance.

safety

to conduct job safety analysis and to identify risks associated with proposed inspection and condition monitor technique. to report any unsafe condition, potential environmental problem, any opportunities and propose recommendation to improve in his/her work area based on his/her knowledge, experience and lesson learnt.

to ensure safe working condition/area for contractor etc additional workforce work under his/her supervision.

challenges

overall understanding of maintenance methodology to ensure plant high reliability and integrity;

strong presentation and influencing skill; good analysis skill; understand regulation code and interpretation; knowledge and skill in inspection techniques and methods

Requirements

university graduated, majored in mechanical engineering or maintenance & reliability management or equivalent discipline. requires at least 5 years of experience on equipment maintenance or mechanical engineering in processing plant;

working knowledge and understanding of equipment structure, operating principle and failure mechanism;

working knowledge and experience on machinery diagnosis and its system setup/configuration.

working knowledge and experience on material selection, equipment repairing, ndt and inspection in process plant;

good understanding of national regulatory code and working experience with governmental authority and inspection institute. Good understanding and working experience on maintenance reliability management like predictive, preventive maintenance techniques/tool and its application. ability to interpret engineering code and standard for rotating/static equipment in order to provide expertise to repair and operation ;

understand and working experience on computerized maintenance management system; communicate effectively in English ;familiar with Microsoft office is essential.
