Job Summary:

Configures, installs, maintains, upgrades, monitors, troubleshoots, repairs, and optimizes Avnet’s global SAP systems. Ensures the overall effectiveness of components. Evaluates, recommends, and implements cost effective improvements that will increase utility, functionality, and/or effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

1. Participate in the installation of new SAP systems to meet expanding business requirements. This includes translating requirements to hardware requirements and developing a time-line for the installation of hardware and software, and configuring the systems.

2. Participate in the daily monitoring of all the SAP systems, and assists in development of procedures and policies for the efficient operations of the SAP systems.

3. Participate in global follow-the-sun on call rotation support.

4. Provide support for projects of Asia and other regions like US and EMEA regions, at times on flexible schedules like noon shift per project demand.

5. Provide Basis technical support to ABAP developers, functional team, DBA, Help desk support personnel, and other support groups to resolve system issues.

6. Contribute to knowledge community and integrate new SAP technology into the team skillset. Good presentation skills and facilitation skills.

7. Participate in develop, maintain, and document standard operating procedures, including backup and recovery of the SAP system, system error detection procedures, database reorganization, and SAP background job scheduling.

8. Evaluate enterprise-wide SAP application systems and develop detailed analysis reports and recommendations for business critical systems.

Job Specifications

1. Minimum of 2 years SAP Basis Technical experience.

2. Basis support experience on SAP ECC 6.0 + compulsory, and at least one other product from BI, CRM, PI/PO, Java, or Solman.

3. Good-to-have technical Hands on knowledge of BI 7.0+, CRM 7.0+, BIA, PI7.0+, EP7.0+, Tidal, CA Wily, or Solman 7.0+

4. Extended working experience at support frontiers in multi-national companies is preferred.

5. Bachelor's or higher level degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering or related discipline with project management and technical experience.

6. Able to communicate in English fluently and effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide clear, concise communication to Management, Basis team members, and others.
