General Summary
Identify, prioritize and develop new products and services that support our customers' needs. Also, provide technical support to sales, field service and others as required
Job Duties (Tasks, Responsibilities, etc.):
· To ensure products meets the needs of required markets through testing, analysis and evaluation.
· As the technical interface between the development team and the production side. Needs to create engineering documents including: 3D models, 2D drawings, BOM and any required documents.
· Improve the product quality and secure the product reliability by balancing cost of test and test coverage that could impact the production fall-off.
· Identify and realize measures for yield improvement, test optimization and product cost reduction
· Define qualification plan and perform electrical characterization analysis
· Provide DFM Design for manufacturability methods.
· Provide technical support to sales, field service and others as required.
· Establish and develop effective relations with BSHPP on a world-wide basis to identify and leverage opportunities
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Requirements:
· Awareness of the principles of generator, brush or brush less alternator and generator design
· Familiar with the generator manufacture process and key components(alternator, control panel, engine)
· Understand the requirements of generator for different markets or applications
· Strong research and analytic work methodology and problem solving skills
· Planning ability and project management skills
· Familiar with PPAP or APQP process
· CAD capability as like Pro-E and AutoCAD
· Good English written skills and basic in oral
· Ability to travel to customers, suppliers and sites to promote B&S's capability.
Education and Experience (Degree and/or additional relevant training and years of related experience):
At least a Bachelor's Degree, major in mechanical related or electrical engineering and automizing
Previous experience with generator design and manufacture (experience with small engine driven products preferred)
At least 4 years' working experience including project experience
