ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain appropriate service levels, manage and support of the infrastructure
- Ensure daily operations including the following: Installation, ticket resolution and escalation, hardware replacements, system and network monitoring
- Identify root causes of tickets and provide a resolution
- Provide a point of escalation and support to the functional team helpdesk/desktop support
- Install, configure and optimize new servers following a global standard
- Define and write procedures
- On-going documentation and inventory of equipment
- Verify system performance and ensure formal sign off and documentation of successful system/network deployments
- Manage and ensure security access
- Develop automatic processes when/where available
- Providing back up support for several system and network roles in accordance with the team
- Participate in the daily system check rotation
- Participate at the on Call rotation
- Management of the daily/monthly/yearly tape backups
- Installation and configuration of Layer 2 network devices and access points
- ISP support and troubleshooting in Asian area
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor Degree +5 years in IT
Significant experience in system and server administration
Good experience in network administration
SKILLS REQUIRED
- Effective problem-solving, analytical and time management skills
- Strong organizational, presentation and customer service skills required
- Self-starter attitude and proactive approach
- Ability to travel to other subsidiaries regularly
- Advanced competent knowledge in:
? Operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows 2003, 2008, 2012 and Linux
? Virtualization technologies and concepts (VMware Infrastructure 5 and 6)
? Shared storage concepts and functional working skills with various technologies (provisioning LUNs, expanding volumes, configuring RAID, etc.)
? Windows automation (scripting, imaging, deployment, management)
? Antivirus/malware and patch management technologies
? Database administration, SQL Server, Oracle
? Webserver administration, IIS, Apache, .NET, MS-SQL, MySQL
? Backup administration
? Cisco and Enterasys switches/routers
- Advanced understanding in:
? Authentication and directory services (Active Directory)
? DNS, DHCP, Group Policies
? Monitoring concepts and protocols (SNMP, WMI)
