Responsibilities:

• Develop MRO Supplies sub-category strategies and sourcing activities that create competitive advantage for the Product Business Units (PBU's) and capture value for Delphi

- Identify/acquire PBU and Corporate business requirements

- Develop and maintain robust, cost competitive sub-category strategy by country/region based on and in line with global category/sub-category strategy

- Engage with Manufacturing, Plant Maintenance and PBU Purchasing to ensure link & leverage and supply base optimization

- Qualify/select/approve suppliers for approved supplier list

- Review/communicate Sub-category plan with PBU and DGSM (Indirect Material) leadership

• Lead development of the Regional supply base to meet PBU & corporate needs & requirements

- Identify and develop suppliers for emerging technology and current and future business needs and support early sourcing

- Support supplier optimization plan for sub-category

- Develop plan to attain lowest upfront costs/ideal value stream performance

• Lead Regional supplier relationship management

- Build and maintain Supplier relationships for major cross PBU suppliers, leading major cross-PBU negotiations as required

- Lead negotiations of country/region-wide supplier contracts including payment terms and Master Terms & Conditions w/ PBU support

- Monitor supplier performance and assessment; re-evaluate capabilities

• Actively participate in weekly project review meetings

- Lead and manage regional sub-category projects

- Ensure consistent execution of standard process

- Promote cost mgmt activities to ensure maintenance and use of cost standards and appropriate treatment of supplier-specific cost models

- Coordinate technical lead & supplier interface resources to continually develop supply base and understand market trends/changes

• Be the sub-category expert - center of expertise for the sub category

- Acquire and apply intimate knowledge of economic, business, technology and competitive trends

- Demonstrate tech/ product knowledge & support buyer certification

- Ensure active technical integration and leadership to commonize specifications and parts serve as engineering liaisons

- Guide PBU buyers on supplier relationships

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree or above
• Good project management skills, negotiation skills and experience, excellent analysis skills;
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese
• Work experience of 3-5 years, preferably in purchasing/procurement or engineering
• Experience in development of business or supplier strategies preferred
• Preferably have good understanding of industrial supplies, especially with MRO supplies and related supplier base knowledge
