IBM is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals with comprehensive commercial Procurement Operation and Customer facing or Subject Matter Expert experience to join our team of procurement professionals. Specifically, we are seeking to fill the role of IPS Account Manager. The IPS Account Manager is the primary Procurement interface for our Customer and manages the delivery of the Procurement Operation services across multiple processes. In addition, the IPS Account Manager manages the procurement operation team at the account.
In addition to having excellent Customer-facing skills, the ideal candidate will have a minimum seven (10) years Procurement experience for internal and external Customers.
A core requirement for the position is Sourcing, Buying and Procurement Operation experience and working knowledge in Strategic sourcing, Tactical Buying, Order Execution, Catalog Administration, CAC, Contract Administration and Blocked invoice Additionally, candidates must possess the following 4 key attributes for our business;

As Account Lead, you will be required to manage Procurement Operations for the Client Account; Procurement process, including driving process improvement and transformation initiatives, enhancing the user experience for both client stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring that the services meet contractual obligations (KPI’s and SLA’s) at a minimum, are well controlled and delivered within budget. Key objective is to achieve client satisfaction of these services and drive innovation to deliver a best in class P2P system. The following are the key activities and functions of this role:

    Manage the Procurement Operations interface across all levels with Client’s Procurement, Business Units and Finance client teams.
    Identify and deploy areas for continuous improvement to optimize delivery of the services, simplify processes and enhance the client end user experience
    Work with the DPE to identify and implement IBM strategies and technologies and services (analytics, design thinking) to ensure continuous value to the client
    Address client operations issues involving the Customer Assistance Centre (CAC), Order Execution, Blocked Invoice, Catalogue, Contract Maintenance, Tactical Buying and Strategic Sourcing
    Manage Client (Procurement and Finance) Governance to ensure monthly “Operations Performance Reporting” (OPR) is professionally executed, demonstrating quality and continuous improvements. Ensure the preparation, review, delivery and value of these services that are provided by IBM is well understood by key stakeholders.
    Work with the account team and supporting functions (e.g. Business Office) to continuously enhance controls and the level and quality of service.
    Manage overall resource requirements and resource budget across the Operational function

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
A minimum of 8 years Management experience in delivery of Procurement, services. Preference is for external client environment skills, although internal is also beneficial. A strong knowledge and understanding of the ‘end to end’ Procurement-to-Pay process and related operational support functions and activities is mandatory.

Qualifications:
Degree (may have a post graduate Qualification) in Commerce / Business , or an associated discipline ( Supply Chain)
