Location: Shenzhen _ China
Position Summary
The Process Engineer Leader reports directly to Engineering Manager and is responsible for guiding Engineer team and to oversee the development and implementation of manufacturing processes to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Ensures the engineering team and other manufacturing departments work cohesively and is responsible for the development of equipment to aid in the manufacturing process. Leads and directs the work of assigned manufacturing and process engineers.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Analyzing and designing lean manufacturing cells to optimize use of space, equipment, material and personnel
2. Works closely with quality assurance and maintenance personnel to prevent issues with products and tooling/fixtures
3. Ensures all manufacturing safety regulatory policies and procedures are implemented and maintained at all times
4. Stays informed of new manufacturing technologies and equipment in order to manufacture and reduce cost through efficiencies
5. Supports all new product introductions and production runs
6. Ensures all vendors and subcontractors are manufacturing products according to product specifications; assists in the assessment of vendor/subcontractor evaluation for consideration
7. Determine and eliminate root causes and diminish occurrences in the manufacturing process
8. Manufacturing and Test EOL super user, train employees as needed
9. Manages, coordinates, evaluates, and reports on the varied components of the company’s manufacturing operations
10. Review and support negotiations on terms and conditions for completing contracts and agreements to help establish strategic supplier partnerships
11. Support development, reviewing and approving cost-down strategies that will result in efficiencies and improved processes
12. Participating in discussions about directing technology roadmap, research and development.
13. Attend and participate in management meetings as required
14. Prepares activity reports and other data input as required
15. other miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Qualifications Required/Job Specifications:
1. Must have at least five (3) years management experience in Manufacturing and Process Engineering in an EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Services) Environment primarily focusing in PCBA. If OEM (Original Equipment Manufactorer) is better.
2. Write and Speak English.
3. Possess a Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
4. Experience in tool design and modifications
5. Hands-on, team oriented, and committed to business improvement processes
6. Proven track record of reducing costs through processes and efficiencies
7. Proficient with PC-based software including Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Strong CAD proficiency
8. Strong, effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask
9. Knowledge and understanding of Theory of Constraints
10. Experience supporting Quality Management Systems (ISO), Lean and Customer Satisfaction
11. Experience with root cause analysis, problem solving, decision making and project management
12. Knowledge of ISO procedures and the ability to maintain quality records and execute ISO activities
13. Knowledge and understanding of calibration processes, activities and schedules
14. Strong, effective organizational skills required; detail oriented; ability to multitask.
15. Must be self-directed, dependable, and motivated with excellent relationship and time management skills.
16. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
17. Possess a high level of integrity in handling confidential and sensitive information.
18. Senior leadership skills and executive management ability
19. Ability to apply advanced concepts of algebra, statistics, and geometry
20. Ability to use common sense to solve practical problems
21. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
22. Ability to travel frequently and abroad travel will be requested
23. High sense of responsibility and be able to work under pressure.
24. Good master of computer skills especially MS office and especially on MSP ( Microsoft project ).
