Accountabilities:

1. Provide leadership and manage the department in Chongqing GSC.

2. Set performance targets for individual teams, provide direction/coaching and conduct performance review with individual supervisors and key team members.

3. Supervise, implement and review daily activities and changes, provide timely and effective resolution of any issues, problems arising from operations, ensure escalation process is properly followed.

4. Keep abreast of developments in law rule regulation practice in the origin and destination countries covered by the department and ensure full compliance.

5. Keep abreast of developments and meet the needs and requirements of customers in the countries managed by the department, ensure customers' needs are met with introduction of necessary measures.

6. Provide Business Analysis/Reporting Service to internal and external customers.

7. Make periodical management report to GSC Director.

8. Create, design and refine work processes and systems to ensure continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency and service standard to the clientele and take all necessary steps to prevent service failure.

9. Lead people, attract and develop talent to ensure succession plan is well executed.

10. Participate in recruitment process, motivate and develop a highly effective team for successful business.

11. Plan, design, secure adequate resources for Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP). Conduct BCP / DRP training and drills to ensure achievement of recovery capacity target. Lead the team in executing BCP during any emergency situation.

12. Manage other ad hoc tasks assigned by superior.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor Degree or above.

2. Minimum 5 years experience and 3 years at supervisory level, shipping industry preferred.

3. Good command of English, both writing and speaking.

4. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

6. Leadership and People Management Skills.

7. Project management skills.

8. Client management skills.

9.This position requires work during US Mountain Time for ontime communication with offices in North America, i.e. Chongqing time 22:00 to 07:00. Night shift allowance will apply.
