Job Description
As a Regional Distribution Sales Manager at Micron, you will be responsible for managing corporate distributors and developing new distribution channels within a geographic territory. In this position, you will increase Micron product sales through a particular distribution channel, train distributors on Micron products, and design tools for distribution sales. You will also develop and execute business plans, perform quarterly corporate reviews, conduct asset management, and serve as an executive liaison.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
? Provide forecasting through the APO-DP tool; provide input for system enhancements
? Identify customer allocations/support programs to align internal resources required to support TAM, revenue and GM targets
? Manage assigned corporate distributors and develop distribution channels within a geographic territory
? Support the business unit strategies
? Develop new business opportunities
? May or may not directly manage direct reports
? May be assigned specific accounts or regions
? Develop and execute marketing strategies with distribution partners
? Provide internal communication of distribution capabilities and strategies across all Micron BU and sales teams
? Be willing to travel
Education
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
? Business
? Technical field
Experience
Desired
10 years experience in any of the following:
? Management/Leadership
? Experience in selling SSD and DRAM memory modules to Datacenters, system integrators
? Experience in selling whitebox or branded server or storage solutions to end customers.
? Additional Experience in distributor management.
Qualifications
? Have prior semiconductor sales experience
? Have knowledge of Micron product lines
? Have knowledge of semiconductor memory
? Have previous experience working with internal and external senior management
? Have knowledge of and preferred experience in engaging with a distributor
? Have a demonstrated aptitude for customer service and support
? Be able to manger demand forecast, and reporting of performance to metrics
? Be able to work with and develop relationships with multiple functional groups
? Be able to perform well in a fast-paced environment
? Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
? Have excellent leadership skills
? Be able to apply broad knowledge to solve problems
