职位描述：
In this supervisor position, the individual would serve as a central resource for process planning, project planning, and coordination; preparing costs for quotations for customers. The mainly responsibilities for this position is taking charge of manufacturing engineering activities and optimize cost of operation by selecting the best process and equipment, including proper tooling and method of manufacture and taking charge of the engineering department for planning and monitoring daily activities and ensure its efficient functioning.

2.0 RESPONSIBILITIES
2.1 Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements in Linamar’s geographic locations and:
？ The Global Operating System Plays
？ Health and Safety management system standard
？ Environmental Management system standard
？ TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards
2.2 Support, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar’s Core Values and Leadership Behaviors
2.3 Evaluate engineering work load and determine staffing requirements
2.4 Simplify, optimize, and innovate machining processes
2.5 Oversee cost reduction strategies
2.6 Optimize on labor and machinery efficiency
2.7 Oversee project scheduling and tracking using Gantt and Pert charts, or CFP;
2.8 Work with production planning to set shop priorities and ensure all required tools and documentation, required in the plant for production jobs are available when required
2.9 Prepare operator instructions and processes
2.10 Assign customers to manufacturing engineers to co-ordinate all quotations, program introduction or production jobs
2.11 Act as a customer liaison to ensure their inquiries and requirements are met
2.12 Maintain control of customer drawings and revision
2.13 Attend customer held meetings
2.14 Establish cost of extra work with customers on allocated contracts

3.0 ACADEMIC / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
3.1 Undergraduate degree in Engineering or related fields
3.2 Project Management and Cost Saving knowledge is required

4.0 REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
4.1 Ability to meet, realize and support customers’ product requirements, implement the knowledge of operation system and specific requirement
4.2 Minimum of five years experience in a machining or manufacturing environment.
4.3 Management experience in engineering or project related.
4.4 Some familiarity and proficiency with personal computers
4.5 Able to communicate requirements clearly in written and drawing formats
4.6 Ability to work independently. Serve as a program leader coordinating activities with others and with company personnel beyond boundaries.
4.7 Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources according to the order of importance.
