1.1 General Description

- Provide professional freight forwarding services in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOP's) as well as other Company guidelines & regulations and provide the required support to the management of Bertling China. The Project manager is to lead and guide junior team members and is responsible for establishing and implementing work processes in his / her team that are in in line with aforementioned rules and regulations and for the results produced by his / her team under consideration of the prevailing market conditions & environment.

1.2 Objectives

- Operations management including administrative file management

- Invoicing management

- Customs & CIQ management support

- Quotations and Tender management

- Customer Services Management

- Ensure provision of professional Project Freight Forwarding Services in accordance with established SOP's and guide subordinated team members accordingly

- Build and maintain a professional and excellent operational reputation by providing first class services to customers as well as to cooperating Bertling offices worldwide

- Build, maintain and extend business relationships

- Monitor and ensure efficient administration of operational files

- Support and guide team members in day-to-day operations as required

- build and maintain a good and professional working atmosphere and team spirit

1.3 Skills

- Sound knowledge and previous professional experience (> 5-7 years) in the freight forwarding and logistics industry, project freight forwarding working experience is the priority

- Computer literacy - especially sound knowledge in standard software applications, i.e. MS Word / Excel / Outlook / Power Point ??

- Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in both Putonghua and English ?

- Basic technical knowledge related to the project freight forwarding industry (i.e. ability to read and interpret technical transportation drawings)

- Very good time management, coordination and organizational skills

- Good negotiation skills

- Service orientated and cost conscious attitude

- Well versed in sub-contractor / carrier negotiations and evaluations
