I. Background Information
Position Title: Environmental Management Consultant
Part time/full time: Full time contractor

II. Purpose
? The main purpose is research the business regulation or government policy that would impact AFS business.
? Focus on Environment Management topics to support Environmental Management and BMW global EM initiatives.

III. Areas of Responsibility
? Supporting Environmental Management topics
o Closely observation on government policy and timely colleting regulation change or business trend.
o Interpretation on regulation and assess business impact that relates producer, importer, distributor etc.
o Coordinate internal subject matter team for exchange information and implementation where necessary.
o Regularly prepare the environmental management report for internal sharing.
o Active participation in relevant Industry associations, working groups for information collection plus value added inputs.
o Supporting China EME to exchange market information with BMW group EM team.
? Industry observation and market intelligence
o Manage primary or secondary intelligence data gathering regarding automotive industry regulation or trend.
o Research on micro economy or industry innovation that could potentially impact current Aftersales business.
o Regularly report on “what’s new” in the market and input with accurate and proper fact base.
o Supporting AFS strategy team or management to work with think-tanks or industry associations to proactively influence government regulation actively.

IV. Education, Experience and Competencies
Education:
? College degree required, degree in automotive, environment and resources, legislation, economy, sales and market or relative.
Experience:
? 3~5 years working experience in multinational company with project management, government policy or environment relative business area.
? Experience in automotive OEM or consulting firm for automotive would be an advantage.
? Working within an international team would be an advantage.

Skills:
? Strong skills in information collection, data statistics and presentation.
? Good teamwork and be proactive attitude.
? Capable of working in a dynamic frequently changing environment with good time management.
? Good written and oral communications skills in both Chinese and English.
? Very capable computer skills, Microsoft Office skill, Excel, Powerpoint etc
