POSITION OVERVIEW
On behalf of Magna and all the Magna Groups, providing business development support, high level customer and Governmental contacts and all other tools needed for generating and maintaining new business at the customers. Development and support of joint ventures and other partnerships with the OEMs and/ or their suppliers as appropriate in support of achieving the overall objective of Magna and each of its Groups.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify, maintain regular good contact with top and mid-level management at each customer and with designated
Government officials and other suppliers
- Leading customer interface to develop customer specific marketing plan and sale strategy
- Generate "Pre-RFQ" activity to ensure Magna Groups are well positioned for the RFQ Process and targeted Awards
- Develop timeline and responsibilities for new program quotes to ensure customer expectations and deadlines are
met
- Develop and improve quoting methodology
- Identify and recommend M&A opportunities for Magna and Magna Group in China
- Establish customer sales forecast together with Group program managers
- Analyze financial performance of new programs relative to business performance objectives.
- Recommend pricing strategy to management relative to program targets and overall company
- business objective
- Liaise with group sales managers to understand China OEM customer/competitor perspective
- Liaise with global product manager/sales director to understand overseas OEM/competitor perspective
- Supervise all quotation status within Magna in China
- Prepare monthly reports and meet with Magna and Group General Management and Sales Management to review
progress on targets and plan strategy and tactics
- Be seen by the Customer as the single "Magna go-to" person for all important issues
- Responsible for staff coaching and performance appraisal
- Perform other duties as required
QUALIFICATION
- Minimum 10 years working experience, with at least 5 years related business experience in auto industry
- Bachelor degree or above , major in engineering is preferred
- MBA with proven financial/cost knowledge will be advantage
- Excellent analytical skill
- Strong team player, able to work effectively within matrix organization
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment
- Self-motivated
- Excellent communication skill in both Chinese and English
