oCommunicating first-hand knowledge of clients and consultants views of IBM services and using this knowledge to help engagement teams win.

oConsistently developing technical solution strategies and providing cost targets to delivery that are competitive.

oDriving complete evaluations of the client base case and IBM solution costs to evaluate and present a technical solution with compelling business value.

oUtilizing all resources at your disposal to provide information to the engagement team and clients.

oMinimizing engagement team costs.

oLeading the technical team to achieve aggressive schedules while maintaining high team morale.

oDemonstrating technical competence to evaluate, present, defend, and sell technical solutions to clients; including participating in the negotiation of SOWs and SLAs.

Task Responsibility

oLeveraging existing solution modules and custom solutions:

oLeveraging Standard Solutions in deals

oCompetitive Analysis to be done leveraging all Assets to determine win themes and accordingly create a value proposition.

oUtilizing resources available to assist with innovative solutions

oLeveraging the Team Solution Design methodology when unique architectures are required.

oFollow company engagement process

oDriving the deal team to understand the areas where the solution and contract must match, and take action to validate that such matches are occurring.

Required Skills

Maintains and applies knowledge of Strategic Outsourcing technical solutions, contract documents, long-term service planning and cost case development methodologies and techniques in at least one Strategic Outsourcing discipline and in multiple specialties. Demonstrates required proficiency levels for Strategic Outsourcing technical and financial skills, as defined for TSM Advisory position.

Maintains and applies knowledge of technical management and outsourcing specialties associated with the discipline offerings, along with the use of appropriate tools.

Understands and applies local IBM Solutioning policies and strategies, as well as marketing, financial, human resource, and contractual policies and strategies which influence Strategic Outsourcing technical solution development.

Creates solutions to address customer business requirements with approved models, mass customization methodologies, and existing delivery techniques.

Has the knowledge of the contract terms and conditions, both Chinese and English context.

Has the capability of cost analysis and the knowledge of service agreement pricing and billing models

Has the capability to prioritize and arrange the tasks and work on multiple solution packages simultaneously and efficiently.

Communication/Negotiation

Engages as an independent professional who has the ability to articulate and compare alternative Strategic Outsourcing approaches and solutions. May participate in negotiations with team members or customers, in both English and Chinese, and in activities related to discipline offerings.

Problem Solving

Has working knowledge of discipline offerings and IT industry (IT infrastructure and IT service management background preferred) and assessing the use of those offerings on current and new customers. Resolves and represents issues and customer requirements to executives throughout IBM. Independently generates solutions based on analytical skills and business knowledge. When required, challenges the validity of existing models and procedures to enhance or develop complementary solutions.

Required

Bachelor's Degree

At least 10 years experience in solution architect
