GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Central Quality Manager has direct responsibility for developing, implementing, and improving the quality and audit systems used by Cooper Standard Asia Pacific. It also includes the management of CSOS for Asia Pacific.Assure that all Quality activities are managed and performed according to TS 16 949-, ISO 9000 standards, customer specific requirements and CSOS (global & regional). To develop, implement and track reporting of Quality KPIs within the Asia Pacific region. To summarise Plant Quality and Customer data & prepare management reports to drive KPI improvement activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
?Acts as Asia Pacific management representative in the administration of TS16949 requirements, and will have the responsibility of communicating any instance which causes any facilities to become non-compliant in any area of TS16949.
?Define a process to ensure all TS audits are scheduled, completed, and closed on time
?Track, coordinate and support Customer Quality audits in various locations within Asia Pacific as where necessary.
?Conduct systemic analysis and improvement of the current internal audit process for corporate offices and plant locations
?Lead Asia Pacific facilities Internal Audit Process for plants and corporate offices
?Define the best practice for internal auditing, audit frequency and make recommendations on resources and business needs for successful execution.
?Define a process for following up, ensuring closure, and measuring timing for closure of internal audit findings (establish closed loop process, including escalation when required)
?Establish a process to analyze the audit data for top issues, corrective actions, training, etc. (goal is to correlate data to external audit findings)
?Define the skills, training needs, budgets and execution plans for internal auditors
?Work closely with Quality peers and plants to ensure that the best practices for such systems are identified, standardized, and implemented (globally where possible).
?Remains aware of latest developments and methods being used within the profession of quality by attending meetings, seminars, training courses, etc.
?Manages a system to control all quality system documentation and records.
?Define the process for providing audit support for “troubled plants” (i.e. external / internal audit prep, checklists etc).
?Develop a process for rolling out/training all Asia Pacific plants and corporate staff on new/revised procedures
?To prepare reporting template for Quality KPIs, to communicate with Plant Quality Managers and to prepare Management reports.
?Establish a process to analyze the KPI data for top issues, corrective actions and to identify priority focus and improvement areas.
?To communicate, support and collaborate with Central Quality functions from other regions (Europe & North America)
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
?Bachelors Degree with technical background.
?Five to eight years of prior Quality Management Systems experience, preferably in ISO/TS16949/VDA 6.1/FORD Q1 / other Automotive OEM QM Systems.
?Good communication skills in English, verbal and written (CET-6 or equal experience).
?Trained in ISO/TS16949, VDA6.1, experience of Automotive OEM Quality Management Systems
?Ability to lead Customer audits and deal with Customer contacts.
?Good communication skills in English, verbal and written (CET-6 or equal experience).
?Ability to support management skills as well as technical awareness in statistics, FMEA, 8-D Problem Solving methods, PPAP and APQP.
?Strong communication skills and can train / guide others in Quality Systems
?Ability to work in a noisy environment and be exposed to carbon black dust which may be dirty.
?Ability to travel to all Cooper Standard Asia Pacific locations and occasional Europe and N America business trips
