Main Purpose of the Job:

To be part of a team carrying out engineering projects and to represent the company to customers in the region. The primary focus will be on providing 3D solid models and 2D manufacturing drawings and specifications for wind turbine gearboxes.

Responsibilities:

• Create 3D solid models of detailed wind turbine components based on 3D concept models and deliver 2D drawings based on 3D solid models.
• Communicate with suppliers for various aspects of design to obtain the required information for integrating solid models into the whole design and to improve and check specifications for equipment.
• Analyse and interrogate designs, explain the design principles of related components to analysis engineers to benefit them in detailed strength analysis.
• Carry out project work with guidance from project manager according to company best practices and procedures; ensure such work is approved by technical team leaders.
• Create and develop technical reports for internal and external customers.
• Maintain project technical documentation and ensure traceability of work.
• Support project meetings, communicate with external clients to make arrangements, translate for and assist head-office mangers/ technical experts during meetings.
• Seek to develop and improve engineering processes and best practices and support other team members in doing so.
• Assist in preparation for commercial events, e.g. preparing and delivering presentations, translating technical documents.
• Understand external clients' technical problems and requirements, liaise between external clients and project team, and deliver feedback from technical team to external clients.
• Work to ensure capture of new engineering knowledge in a Wikipedia-style database.

Qualifications:

• High integrity character, in line with Romax corporate culture.
  Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability with team-working spirit.
• Practical engineering knowledge and experience.
• Experienced in finite element analysis.An awareness of materials and heat treatment technologies
• Experienced in the use of 3D modelling, preferably with CATIA.
• Good English skills including reading, writing, listening and speaking.
• Good understanding of geometric tolerancing and dimensioning
• Manufacturing background and design for manufacture experience
• Master's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering or similar; Bachelor's degree with appropriate experience and English skill is also acceptable.
• Experience equivalent to 2-5 years working in design and analysis of gearboxes or similar machines.
