Job scope, Main Responsibilities and KPI
The PR Manager will play a key role within the marketing team to develop corporate, brand and product reputation in China. One direct report: PR Showroom Manager, based In Beijing.

Development of media relations and Public Relations programs in support of Luxottica house and designers brands, and business in the Chinese market with focus on Mainland China (Hong Kong for LensCrafters only)
Position Luxottica’s Group reputation as the leader in the eyewear industry and a key player in the fashion and accessories industry.
Serve as the point of reference for journalists, celebrities and stylists for eyewear in the country. Available for frequent travel to the assigned markets of the region as required.
Main activities include:
1.PRESS RELATIONS ON-GOING
?Develop and nurture media relations with key fashion, lifestyle and accessories (eyewear) press
?Support eyewear Collections launches
?Coordinate Eyewear on-going press office activities
?Coordinate Luxottica eyewear Press Previews
?Maintaining media lists
?Receiving and tracking sample
?Preparing Monthly PR tracking reports/Dossier for Trade
?Manage external PR agency
2.PR PLANNING
?Develop a comprehensive PR Plan and brand building strategies for the region in support of the portfolio, business and key corporate priorities
?Coordinate with Brand Managers to develop stories for PR as per brand guidelines.
3.MANAGE PR SHOWROOM IN BEIJING
?Keep leveraging the showroom as a destination for Beijing-based media, influencers and stylists
?Coordinate everyday showroom needs and activities
?Manage PR Assistant based in the PR Showroom
4.EVENTS AND SPONSORSHIP
?Support PR events in conjunction with product/brand/collection launches
?Leverage Entertainment industry and other relevant events (and sponsorships) in the region
5.PRODUCT PLACEMENT AND CELEBRITY OUTREACH
?Built a list of target celebrities in each of the markets
?Develop and nurture relationships with stylists and talent managers to leverage outreach
?Grow relationship with local producers: TV and film
6.TREND WATCH
?Learn and be current with the latest trends in each of the markets
?Know the relevant personalities, VIP’s and influencers in each market that we can monitor and target for seeding
?Be informed of the local trends and “in-the know” events and locations
7.MEASUREMENT & REPORTING
?Work to achieve clear goals set by China Marketing manager and corporate PR team
?Produce clear reports on product seeding, on-going media relations and press coverage
?Managing and tracking the various styles sent and received
?Media monitoring, report & uploading coverage to Visual Box
Technical Skills and Professional Knowledge + Key Performance Indicator

- Strong local network/ established relationships with general business, consumer and trade press/analysts communities
- Ability to work at intl PR programs in strict partnership with the Corporate Team
- Ability to think and strategize with a global/intl mindset
- International media exposure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to both design/manage and execute PR plans
- Ability to proactively identify communications opportunities and develop consistent programs
Candidate Profile
Educational Background
-Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related field would be preferable
Overall comments
?At least 7-9 years experience in PR function in a reputed company (preferably from multi-brand companies)
?Relevant experience in PR agency, Corporate PR role or in Media-electronic/print/digital as a journalist or reporter
?Solid relationship with fashion and lifestyle media (print, digital, bloggers)
?A solid professional background in the accessory industry or similar would be appreciated
?Knowledge of Traditional Chinese preferred
