DB2 Lead Database Administrator (2+ years)
Ensure Integrity / Availability / Performance of DB2 Database Systems / Provide Technical Support
Monitor / Improve DB2 Database / Systems Performance
Assist in Capacity Planning / Space Management / Data Maintenance Activities for Database Systems
Oversee Database Backup / Recovery Strategies / Procedures
Install Software Patches / New Product Releases
Implement / Oversee Database Security Strategy
Troubleshoot / Maintain Multiple Global Databases
Resolve Database Issues in an Accurate / Timely Fashion
Monitor Databases Regularly – Check for Problems / Locking Issues / Failed Queries, etc.
Oversee Utilization of Database System Log Files
Perform Database Enhancements / Modifications in Conjunction with the Change Management Team
Provide Support for Application DBA Teams / Application Developers
Coordinate Problem Resolution with IBM DB2 Support, as needed
DB2 Features – Partitioning / Compression / Constraints / Admin Views / Event Monitors, etc.
Database Objects (Expert-Level) – Stored Procedures / Tables / Views / Indexes / Triggers / Functions / User-Defined Objects, etc.
Required
Bachelor's Degree
At least 5 years experience in DB2 Lead Database Administrator (2+ years)
English: Fluent
