职位描述
? The position is responsible for completing the BD strategy and updating it annually (by completing original strategy development work as well as collaborating with Key Executives and Key Peers to obtain their expert contributions and incorporate them in the BD strategy), which will directly improve the BD Team’s productivity and effectiveness to deliver better service to its customers
? Whilst the position is generally responsible for strategy development for all BD functions, in calendar 2014 it will be particularly focused on completing a focused, prioritized Real Estate Market Mapping and Project Pipeline Growth Plan
? By doing this, the position will directly contribute to Walmart China’s rolling 3-year Business Plan, particularly the store count / square feet growth component of the Plan
Job Accountabilities:
? Leadership of a core team of strategic support associates, currently 3 although this could change in future;
? Leadership of the completion, and regular updating, of the Business Development strategic plan to agreed timelines each year;
? Leadership of ad hoc analysis of numerous sources of data and information, and translating the results of that analysis into simple action plans within the Business Development team;
? Preparing the Business Development team’s presentation for each Quarterly Business Review
? Developing strategic hypotheses and analysis frameworks to identify and assess potential market growth opportunities that can be practically implemented in a prioritised manner;
? Working with each Business Development functional leader to help them to develop their plans, particularly in relation to business improvement initiatives in each of their areas of responsibility;
? Organising, creating and compiling content for, and facilitating an annual Business Development strategic planning workshop, as well as other similar sessions as required throughout the year;
? Incorporating the use of Walmart’s Business Development and Real Estate systems to effectively support the implementation and management of Business Development’s strategic plan; and
? Developing metrics and tracking progress of the implementation of the Business Development team’s strategic plan.

? Direct reports to each of the BD Leadership Team members
? Other Senior Managers and Directors within both the operational businesses and Home Office teams
Minimum Qualifications:
? Bachelor degree minimum, MBA preferred
? Ability to think and act strategically, while driving tactical program execution.
? Able to originate, grasp and communicate complex ideas clearly through the creation and use of appropriately simple strategic frameworks
? Superior communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills
? Strong analytical and interpretative skills
? Strong corporate finance skills
? Highly results driven
? A minimum of 8 years relevant strategy work experience gained in one or more of the strategy consulting, real estate development, retail, engineering / construction and / or asset management sectors.
? Proven experience in preparation and delivery of executive-level presentations.
? People management experience a plus
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
? Talent potential to become a Director within 1 – 2 years
? Experience with international organizations highly regarded
? A strategist with the ability to turn meaningful analysis into practical action plans
