Role Summary/Purpose

The XD/GE Project Manager reports directly to the XD/GE Global Projects Leader of the Power Delivery business and is the primary interface between the GE Project Management team and our XD/GE Partnership. This will require an inclusive and collaborative leader with a deep understanding of and proven track record in delivering HV equipment within the Substation/Power industry.

Essential Responsibilities

 Responsible for a portfolio of high visibility HV equipment only and complex projects
 Translate customer needs/requirements into detailed project plans, ensuring full alignment with our XD/GE Products and Factory teams to meet contractual commitments
 Provide a direct interface with XD Electric’s commercial, engineering, and factory teams throughout the commercial and fulfillment cycles to ensure profitable on-time-delivery and rapid communication/issue resolution
 Plan, communicate, schedule, and monitor, events, processes and equipment to meet or exceed the requirements of projects with respect to cost, project profitability, overall margin management, timeline, quality, environmental/safety, legal, and other aspects.
 Manage internal & external customers during onsite design reviews and factory visits
 Ensure contractual obligations are met, with formal approval for changes and price adjustments where appropriate
 Engage as required in ITO pre-contract processes to support the definition of competitive execution plans and drive continuous improvement through our Lessons Learned process
 Support the implementation of processes which result in improved quality and efficiency in project/product delivery

Qualifications/Requirements

 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college
 Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management of Equipment Only or Complex Projects for the Power Generation or T&D industry
 Fluency in English
 ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
 Ability and willingness to travel internationally.

 Master in Business Administration
 Prior experience in managing high voltage electrical utility projects
 Previous responsibility for projects or programs involving multiple businesses and/or functions across the entire project cycle - development and design through manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning and test acceptance
 Ability to successfully interface with executive level management within both the sponsor and customer organizations
 Familiarity with contractual terms and experience managing customer-facing contracts
 Familiarity with preparation of proposals for complex substations, including international work
