Job Responsibilities

Successful candidate will report to China FAE Director and will be located in Shanghai. Responsibilities include:

l Evaluate customer project specifications and negotiate with customers for the best use of Synaptics finger print technology to meet customer requirements for handsets, tablets, and PCs on Android and Windows systems.

l Release new product design (bills of materials, mechanical drawings, specifications, etc.) to customers and contract manufacturers for sensor manufacturing.

l Support customers and contract manufacturers, on-site and remotely, in integrating and debugging fingerprint sensor based hardware.

l Work with USA/China Taiwan mechanical team to manage design library and revision control tasks

l Work closely with PM, SE, Testing, QA, FW and SW to ensure the on-time delivery of projects with good quality.

l Assist marketing and engineering teams on new product definitions and designs taking into consideration customer feedback on current implementations.

l Work with marketing and sales to provide technical support to pre-sale activities with customers.

l Report on competitive products and identify significant market trends.

Qualifications/Requirements/Knowledge:

· BSEE in mechanical engineering or equivalent.

· 5 or more years of mechanical design engineering experience in field applications of semiconductors for mobile phones

· CAD skills (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD)

· Experience in PCB and FPC design, phone camera design & manufacturing are strong pluses

· Attention to detail

· Estimate 20% to 50% travel required

Required/Preferred Skills:

· Pro-active “get-it-done” personality with ability to influence people

· Excellent communicator with strong writing skills; must be experienced with creating presentations, sales tools, technical documentation, training, whitepapers, collateral, etc.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in Chinese and English.

· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple, parallel projects to deadline. Project management experience is helpful

· Must have passion for success and winning
